It was nearly freezing outside and they tried sitting us next to an open window, thankfully they were understanding and moved us to a different table. Our server was a little slower and less attentive than other servers at the tables around us, we had to wait several times for refills on our drinks. All of the food tasted great and everything but the soup was an appropriate temperature. When it is near freezing I want soup that warms me up from the inside, the she-crab soup did NOT do that. The soup was not hot at all, I'm pretty sure the rest of the food was hotter than the soup, it still tasted good but was a little disappointing.

Right near our Campground, so we thought we would try it. Very bar-like, which is fine.
Has indoor and deck seating. The free Hushpuppies for the table were greasy and taste-less. Popcorn Shrimp & Fries were taste-less. The Tarter Sauce just tasted like Mayo. My husband said his Buffalo Chicken Sandwich was good. Don't think we'll go back. Too many other better restaurants around.

Stopped for a bite of lunch! Best decision! Lisa J. was our server and made some great recommendations. My fish tacos were amazing along with fried okra. My husband loved his fried oysters and asparagus. We will definitely return when we visit!

Ten thumbs up! Gilligan’s was a great experience, we had a party of nine that needed to be seated last minute and they did what they could to accommodate quickly and cleanly! We were serviced by Rhonda who was both professional and incredibly pleasant! My friend Dan ordered a Mango Island Pina Colada which they served in an entire pineapple, what an experience, the she-crab soup was perfect, and at such an affordable price! If you’re looking for a great restaurant outside of downtown Charleston avoid the Publix and Bojangles and go straight to Gilligan’s!

The food just isn’t good. The seafood is not fresh and taste under-seasoned and rubbery,the food is definitely overpriced for the taste. I ate half before i started getting sick and stopped eating, when the server came over and asked if we liked everything i just responded with an “it wasn’t really to my liking but it’s okay”.. and he responded with “oh im sorry you didn’t like the food it’s too bad you ate half of it or we could’ve taken it back”. I never asked for it to be refunded i was perfectly fine paying for it.. i didn’t need his snarky little attitude.

We stopped here after our visit to the Charleston Tea Gardens and were pleased with the friendly staff and the great food. Our server went out of his way to make our experience great by recommending dishes and providing great service. The mango pineapple drinks were truly delicious and made the visit special. The food was great and cooked to our liking.

Food is good, servers are great. Don't expect service at the bar though. Chuck might be the worst barback in the country. He has a terrible attitude, expects good tips but doesn't try being friendly, makes inappropriate remarks when he wasn't satisfied with the amount someone left him, under pours every single drink (I've never even been tipsy there even after a pineapple and a couple other mixed drinks for a total of $38.) and will make you wait just because.
I'll continue to eat at Gilligan's cause the food is amazing and the rest of the staff is incredible but there's zero way I would ever walk up to the bar and ask for as much as a napkin from Chuck.
