Goldstar is hands down one of our favorite go-to spots on John’s Island. The coffee is consistently excellent, the baked goods are always fresh, and you can tell real care goes into everything they serve. What really sets Goldstar apart, though, is the people. The staff is unfailingly friendly, well trained, and genuinely happy to be there, which makes every visit easy and welcoming. Rachel, the owner, is incredible. She’s hands-on, deeply involved in the community, and it shows in how the place is run and the culture she’s built. Goldstar isn’t just a great coffee shop, it feels like a true neighborhood staple, and we’re lucky to have it.

I can always expect great coffee and matcha when I come here. Cute little shop and friendly service. The quiche is also delicious. Looking forward to trying more!

Such a beautiful coffee shop! With amazing drip coffee and delicious pastry selections. Staff are SO sweet and always greet you with a smile and warmth. My favorite spot to grab coffee in the mornings and work for a few hours on my laptop. Plenty of outlets to charge your laptop with and that is a huuuuge plus. Perfect ambiance and vibe to start your day.

Adorable coffee shop! I was greeted and served by a very friendly staff member. She was helpful with descriptions of menu items and made my hazelnut latte perfect(hot and not too sweet). This place has a warm, friendly feel. It is clear the owner puts heart into this business. I could hang here all day with a good book.

One of my absolutely favorite go to spots on Johns Island! I’m especially fond of their cold brew and the Girl Next Dough pastries and quiche! Lovely outdoor area to sit outside, WiFi is good for working remotely, & bathrooms are always clean. We lived close by, so it was great that they also stocked Storey Farms eggs (the only ones we’ll buy!) as a convenient option whenever we ran out. A bonus that it’s woman owned, the decor is cute, and they have some great local products, cards, and gifts!

Cozy little coffee stop on Johns Island with that fresh roast aroma that hits the moment you walk in ☕️✨. It smells incredible and the drinks match the vibe, smooth and consistent every time 😌. Friendly crew, quick service, a solid pastry case, and a calm room that works for laptop time or a quiet reset 💻. Easy add to my morning loop before heading toward Kiawah or into town 🌴💯.
