We’re vacationing in Charleston from out of state and decided to try this place on a whim when visiting Angel Oak Park. We visited on a Sunday for lunch.

We would definitely go back if ever in town in the future! The food was delicious. But equally important, this restaurant was extremely family friendly. We have 3 kids who are five and under. So we’re always nervous to try new places. But it was a very casual environment on the patio, there were tons of families with other young kids, and the kids loved their food. Our kids were fortunately on their best behavior, but it wasn’t the type of place where you have to worry about your kids making the slightest bit of noise.

Thanks for a great experience!

I have been here several times and sadly this is my last time. Fajitas were so drastically over cooked the steak was dark gray and had some horrible weird sweet sauce on them that made them inedible (also there was no sizzle and they were cold). Additionally the bartender NEVER asked once the food was delivered if everything was ok so my husband and I sucked it up because we were absolutely starving. Once we were able to flag down the bartender for 1 steak fajita 2 margaritas and 2 tacos I feel like for 100+ dollars it should reflect in the service and the food (it did not). Makes me sad because I was so excited and completely fell on my face based on this experience.

Nice atmosphere and the fish tacos are fresh/flavorful but the beef taco was way overcooked no seasoning no sides.
The salsa trio was only $5 but literally there's 4 scoops for each chip. It was the tiniest bowls I have ever seen. Between 3 people we each had a taste. I'm honestly overall not impressed. At least give more salsa when its not free and considered an appetizer. Service wasn't good our server ignored us unless my husband flagged him down (which he did for water refills and the check )
but if the food was better I'd still go back but sadly for me it's a no return. Sad cuz I live so close & love Mexican food.

Good food and flavor but more mex-american than true Mexican flavor.

I visited Monero Mexican Cantina for a birthday dinner with some girlfriends a couple of weeks ago. The atmosphere was fun, and we had a great time overall, but the experience was a bit mixed.

The food was okay—not bad, but nothing particularly memorable. Unfortunately, the service could have been better. Our server forgot a couple of dishes we ordered, and drink refills were slow. That said, the company and the celebration made the night enjoyable.

If you’re looking for a lively spot for a group gathering, it’s a decent option, but I’d love to see some improvements in service to make the experience smoother

Attractive and tasty food but wildly, WILDLY overpriced for an out-in-the-country ‘dirt lot’ restaurant. Some porch heaters broken. Runners randomly plunk-and-run leaving us to swap plates. Total was $65+/person. Overall, average. Disappointed.
