Definitely not my kind of place. No one looked younger than 60, and if they were, they were with someone older.
The food cafeteria style at best and the servers just dropped off the food and the bill at the same time with very little follow up. Would rather go to fast food over here.

I normally do not like shrimp and grits but theirs was delicious! Also the pasta salad, squash, butter beans, and tomato pie were yummy as well. I hate sugared cornbread so that was a no for me. The crab cake wasn't bad but I personally don't think it's worth that price. Great service, location, and food overall!

Cute little market and restaurant. My husband and I enjoyed the Island BBQ sandwich a lot. It was well cooked and very flavorful. For sides I got the Italian pasta salad, it was also super good. Everything you’d expect from a pasta salad, very refreshing. My husband tried the sweet potato casserole and really enjoyed that as well. Our server was Lucy and she, along with the rest of the staff, was super tentative and polite. Will be back in the future!

Parking: There are times when parking is tricky, but you can park on the street behind the place. I've never left because I couldn't park somewhere.
Kid-friendliness: Coloring sheet and crayons are great.
Wheelchair accessibility: Lovely ramp for wheelchairs, walkers, or folks with knee issues.

This is such a hidden gem. My husband and I just moved here from Atlanta and we were blown away. We LOVE good southern cooking. This place has so much charm and they know how to cook some good home cooked southern food. Best collard greens I’ve ever had! We will be regulars here I can promise you that! 10/10 would recommend!

We stopped at Stono for the first time several years ago. We had the BEST local tomatos on our sandwiches. Now, whenever we're in the area we make it a point to go to Stono. They have increased the number of tables over the years, but the food is never lacking. Be sure to stop in for some fresh, local yumminess and maybe some veggies, fresh baked goodies and art for the road.

Even better than the reviews we read! We waited a few minutes to get a seat, but enjoyed shopping the farmers market options and sitting on the front porch. We ordered the veggie plate and the bbq plate - both were fantastic. Wish we were local so we could come back to try more from the menu!

We are locals on Johns Island and frequent the Tomato Shed for lunch and dinner. Love the she crab soup and the wonderful sides offered. Tonight I got a take out crab cake dinner and unfortunately the crab cakes were extremely overcooked almost burnt. Very disappointed, will try again but I will look at the take out before I leave. Did not eat them sadly.
