Well, after 25 years of visiting the Tomato Shed on a regular basis, you've finally done it. You made a meal that I didn't like. My mother in law (from Michigan) insists on going to the Tomato Shed every time they visit Charleston, which we are always happy to accommodate. This visit, I had the meatloaf. This is where the locals eat. Unpretentious but the service is genuinely friendly, the food is fresh, tasty & generous portions, and the prices are economical. Today we had the tomato basil soup and shared a generous egg salad sandwich. No longer big eaters, it was more than enough. The soup was very rich and the egg salad was tasty. They also serve dinner Thursday, Friday & Saturday.
The broccoli fritters were the absolute best. Great atmosphere for hanging out and having great food, the volume levels were just right. Fantastic, friendly service. Loved this place!
