We had an amazing breakfast at Sauls St. Sunrise in Lake City! I ordered the Philly cheesesteaks omelette and it was packed with flavor—so hearty and delicious. My husband had the chilaquiles Mexicanos and he absolutely loved it. Both dishes were fresh, well-seasoned, and cooked perfectly.

The only issue we had was service is very slow. So don’t go expecting quick service.

One of the highlights here is their coffee and latte list—it’s seriously impressive! So many fun options to choose from, and the one I tried was rich and smooth. The staff was friendly, the atmosphere was cozy, and it’s the kind of spot that makes you want to come back and try everything on the menu. Definitely a new favorite in Lake City!

Wow! Took my sister here for her birthday lunch, as well as my other sister & brother, and we loved it! There were 3 waitresses working with no jurisdictional boundaries as they all stopped and talked, took orders, gave refills, and talked some more, so friendly and welcoming. Breakfast all day and I love breakfast. My sisters & I got omelets while my brother got lunch pork chops and loved them too. And daingit, that caramel cake was off the charts, I'd post a picture but didn't think about it until I was halfway thru it. If you are looking for an old fashioned, relaxing, good food, and better company place to go, this is it.

Highly recommend this restaurant esp for Kingstree residents. They serve breakfast all day and are open ev day except Sunday til 8 pm. I had pancake platter and my husband had a Philly sub. Food was great and service awesome. Great menu and can’t wait to try the many coffees they offer. The desserts were amazing. Slice was $7 but delicious and more than enough for two people. I also liked that they had some Mexican breakfast dishes I want to try. With no mor huddle houses in Kingstree or Lake City this place is a gem!

So what won us over first was their friendliness. My husband and I were staying in Lake City while he attended a class and we were out walking one night when we came across the staff and the owner, I believe, standing out front of Saul’s St. Sunrise. They were incredibly friendly to us even though we didn’t eat there on that visit. The next time we were in town we did. We went early for breakfast and met the dessert making waitress! I cannot say enough good things about her. It was like we were a guest in her home, not patrons at a restaurant. The food was very good. I had the chorizo burrito, it was actually delicious not just good, but the reason I went back on my third visit to Lake City was not for the food, but for the waitress. Our daughter that has autism and other disabilities came with us this time and she’s not always the easiest to take out to eat by myself, so because of my past experience there I decided to go back. Food was very good once again. We had to end up leaving somewhat abruptly because my daughter began having seizures. Both waitress’ helped me get checked out quickly and the dessert making waitress even offered to help me carry stuff to my car that was parked two streets over. I tell you all this to let you know that all though the food is good, it’s the people that make this place so great! One more thing…..the home made pecan pie was yummy! You could taste the vanilla in the crust. Ginger
