Such a cute bqq restaurant! Authentic southern charm all the way through! $13.95 lunch buffet with all you can eat bqq, chicken, meatloaf & all the fixins!! Banana pudding & peach cobbler with dessert! & the best sweet tea. Definitely worth stopping! There's also a store & bakery in the same building. Will definitely come back!

Dive barbecue joint with good food (buffet style) and great service. Had lunch and the buffet was full of SC style pulled pork, fried chicken, several kinds of potatoes, vegetables and breads. A few salads were offered along with three different desserts. Honest homestyle cooking in a rustic cabin like atmosphere with a nice big deck on the water. The only complaint was the plastic utensils and plastic glasses that were chipped and scratched to the point where you couldn’t tell if it was clean or dirty.
Been here many times, but this time there were numerous flies in the dining area. It was really bad, and made it hard to eat. The food, service and atmosphere is, as always, great. It was just a bad day in my opinion.

This coming Saturday 8/31/24 will be my third visit . I live just below the NC/Va State line and visit once a year for the Southern 500 in Darlington. It is a great place to dine!
Parking: No problem to find a spot.

Have to say we went tonight and we definitely were disappointed. BBQ was super greasy, fried chicken super greasy, Mac and cheese wasn’t cooked all the way, and ribs tasted different also. We loved it before but after tonight I doubt we will make the trip again.
