The food and service here is so good! Southern food buffet and desserts! Sweet tea is very good, too!

The buffet has a nice variety of meats and vegetables as well as a salad and desert bar. We searched TripAdvisor for a place to eat as we were passing through Laurens and were not disappointed in this choice. The food was good and the staff was friendly. I would definitely eat there again if in Laurens. Give it a try!

We drive 30 miles to this restaurant on Sunday. It has a wonderful Buffet. My Mama never cooked like this. She was from Michigan. Johnny's mama was from the south. And when they had a restaurant before Covid in Woodruff the lady in front of me in line said these are Johnny's mama's recipes. I hope her gave her hugs!

Not real fancy, but if your just looking for down home cooking? This a good place to start. The people are friendly and attentive. We went around 2pm and it wasn't overly busy, although they seem to do a decent amount of take out

I absolutely love this place. Great smiling staff. Food is always fresh and you can hear how happy the cooks are from the kitchen. It's a good time everytime and that's what keeps me coming back!

Super clean & amazing staff who are welcoming. If you are looking for some delish soul/country cooking this is the place. It wasn't expensive and you had a lot of choices. We will be back.

This place has the best meats and veggies and all kinds of other sides on their buffet. They have salad bar and desert bar as well. If you are ever in Laurens South Carolina you got to try this place.

This is an average met and veggie style buffet. The fried fish was excellent but the fried chick was far over cooked. Most veggies were" just ok". The cake was very good. The buffet was pricey at something like $13.50. We are seniors and not big eaters so they really need a senior one-trip price. We don't do buffets often but were not impressed. A sign said they would soon switch to cafeteria style. Perhaps they need to charge cafeteria style "a-la-carte" as well. Rest rooms were clean.

If you are considering eating here...One word...justdoit! Seriously! If you can't find something here you like, you're a sadly unique person. The roast chicken was the best I'd ever eaten. Their vegetables are simple and delicious. Service is great! Very reasonable prices.

Heard a lot of good things about the place. Decided have a drop by it’s quite typical southern comfort food prepared rather good I must say. Buffet style but you can order from the menu but it’s pointless. Quote solid selection it’s a place I could visit on a regular basis.

I came here on a sour note because I was visiting a family member in the hospital. I asked the nurses where to grab good country food, because where I live, that type food is scarce. Taste of Home kept popping up. I opened my Yelp app, saw it had 4 stars and was only 8 minutes away, I was off to the races. I arrived and saw the parking lot full, I walked in the door and was greeted by a smiling face that asked how many. Party of 1 please. Eating alone doesn't bother me. The cost was a little over 13.00 but to be honest, Golden Corral cost just as much and isn't half as good. I grabbed my plate, my gloves and walked around the buffet to see what I wanted. I do this because I usually only eat one plate and then a salad and I have learned I can get upset if my plate is full and I find something towards the end of the buffet that I really wanted You live and learn Now you know you're in the country when you see field snap peas and I was there for it! There were all kinds of things in this buffet although I didn't see fish but I bet that is a special addition one night just like the pork chops were Thursday when I went. I grabbed a chicken breast, collards, field snap peas, Mac and cheese, green beans and fried okra. Whew. Yeah all that. There were black eyed peas, rice and gravy, mashed potatoes, roasted potatoes, meatballs, spaghetti and some other things I left behind. I wish I could've tried it all because I know it was delicious. On the way to my table, I saw Texas Pete hot sauce on one of the first tables I walked by, I grabbed it and headed to seat myself in a booth. The attendant on the floor followed me and asked me what I wanted to drink and took my hot sauce He said there is one on every table mam. Now that's what I'm talking about. You KNOW you are in the right spot when you got field peas and Texas Pete hot sauce on every table for those collards and fried chicken. I always taste my food before adding condiments and let me tell you, the collards needed no hot sauce. I didn't add it for fear of messing up such a good thing. The snap peas were divine! Perfectly seasoned. The fried okra literally just got out on the bar so they were smoking hot when I took a bite, added a pinch of salt to them and they were awesome as well. The fried chicken was so good you really wood slap your mama over it. (Sorry Mom!) now here is the kicker. I started seeing people stand around the buffet and wait? For what? I then saw patrons stand up and peer over an empty booth looking for what I assume those were standing around for. The people behind me kept asking the attendant when "they" would be out. When he stopped by my table I asked him what the big deal was everyone was waiting for. "Pork chops!" Really? Pork chops. The table in front of me turned around and said "honey you ain't never had their pork chops?" No I haven't now I'm interested. I'm totally buying into these pork chops because every single person around me seemed to be invested The attendant came by and told me he had just put the pan out to go try....there were like 15 people already waiting so I didn't know if I would get one because people were taking what they wanted, has been waiting on, and rightfully so. Well I got lucky. There were multiple left when I got up to them. They were massive. I got back to my table, cut it up into pieces but couldn't eat it right away because that s***** was HAWT. Patiently I waited. After a few minutes I went in, and the same customer in front of me asked "well what you think?" That may have been the best pork chop I've eaten in my entire life.

If I could give 10 stars I would. The minute I walked in they was very welcoming and talked to me as if they knew me my whole life. The food was beyond amazing it takes alot to feel me up and just one plate from them did just that. You could taste the love in their food. I will most definitely recommend A taste of home to anyone who asks if I know a good spot for food
