we have eaten here a few times. the food is very good. on sundays they
have the buffet. i like the meat loaf & their fried chicken. the mashed potatoes
& white gravy are excellent. i've not had the burgers. when you have
the good vegtables it's hard to pass them up. the rolls are great. everything
i've tried has been so good. if you're in a hurry i would call it in so it would be ready when you get there.

Listen y’all. I don’t like giving 3 stars to a good local restaurant. I’ve Been there a plenty food and service was good but on this day must have been a not so good closing job. Inside was just a little bit too dark for lunch time and there needs to be some cleaning done. Food was hot and tasty but the cleanliness smh y’all. Come on Scurry’s you got this take it up a notch you can do it!

The food was ok. Then fried green tomatoes were unseasoned and gummy from the batter being undercooked on the inside, the perch was pretty decent and the broccoli casserole was good. I expected more from a “soul food” spot. It was good enough for a return visit.

Food was really good. Service was almost non-existent. Very slow. By the time my food arrived my coffee was empty, the waitress reached over the empty cup but never returned with coffee. Ordered a sandwich I could have made at home in half the time. The restroom soap dispenser had leaked its soap all over the counter, when I told the staff and they did nothing to clean it up. The toilet was filthy. It's sad, the food is really good, but the laziness ruins the experience.

Absolutely amazing! If you like southern home cooking this is the place to go! My personal favorite is the country fried steak, mashed potatoes, both w/pepper gravy, collards and okra. Reminds me of eating dinner at Grandma’s on Sunday after church.
