The chicken was hot and fresh! The lady at the register suggested I get it fried an extra minute and she was so right. The fries and fried okra were good too and it was all under $10.

Well I had my first smash burger today at Whiteford’s in Laurens. It was AWESOME. Meat was so juicy.
Can’t wait to have another.

Very clean and good tasting food. Food was hot. But very small portions for the price I paid a little over 17 dollars for that food in the picture.

I ordered 8/28/25. Rib plate and chicken breast plate. Both the ribs and chicken were incredibly dry. The lettuce in the side salad was wilted and very close to brown. My last order there, my side items were wrong so I mentioned that at the window and the lady found my name and said she put one of the replacements in the bag and asked me to pull up and wait for the other. When I got home, the one that was supposed to be in the bag was not so I’m still out a side item. I’m very disappointed in the quality of food that I received today after spending almost $35 on it.
Update: They did reach out to me and have offered to fix this issue, so I give props for that!

Only a few customers when I finally got to actually get inside to eat here (it was always closed on other occasions when I got there). Apparently, this restaurant is closed after 5:00 PM and weekends... Nobody was there on Saturdays or Sundays when I went there before 5 PM). It would have been an alright place to relax and eat if they didn't have someone constantly mopping the floor around our table while we were eating, and considering that there was only 5-6 customers actually inside getting to-go orders, they could have waited until close to mop the floor. The food is way too high priced for such low quality. No flavoring in the food, soda pop was not mixed correctly and the tea was horribly over brewed and under sweetened. The only thing that was actually delicious was the french fries. SMH. The atmosphere seriously lacks, it felt quite 'dead', stuffy, and uninviting inside. We spent over an hour there and only saw a certain 'age group' coming and going. I believe that with a few good changes, this restaurant would be a game changer for the owners. Until then, I won't be eating there again. *** UPDATE: MY KIDS AND I DID NOT EAT AT THE 'LOCATION IN CLINTON' !!!! THE OWNER OF LAURENS LOCATION IS OBVIOUSLY DELUSIONAL AND/OR BLIND TO WHAT IS GOING ON WITH THEIR STAFF AND RESTAURANT!!!***

I’m not much of a food critic, but honestly the best way to sum up the food was “Breakfast at home, but worse” The staff was nice but the restaurant was pretty dirty, here’s a little game, count how many dead flies you see by the window! I counted 5!

It's a perfect little fast food restaurant. It has a grandiose sign, which was a nice photo spot with the kids. Staff was friendly. Had an interesting menu. I had a barbecue Sunday. They shoved a full meal into a cup, and it was great. Laurens is a pretty small town, this was a good choice.

I'm originally from Laurens, I just haven't been back in town much for several years. I stopped in on 6/30 to get some lunch, opting to bypass the chain fast-food establishments in favor of a local small business. I cannot lie, I was shocked a bit at the price for a Giant Cheeseburger plate with fries and slaw as sides with a large Sweet Tea, almost $17. But I am not one who minds paying a little more for quality and it is a local business too so it is justifiable to me personally. But I digress, the food took a little bit to get out, but again no worries as that means it should be fresh. Let me say, this was the BEST Giant Cheeseburger I have eaten from Whiteford's in a long time. The tomato, onions and lettuce were fresh fresh, the patty was thick and super fresh tasting. Shockingly, the patty filled up the bun! That is a rarity in a burger anywhere these days. The condiments were not too heavy nor too light, perfectly complimenting the burger. The slaw was fresh, great mix and good flavor even without adding s&p. But the fries, oh the FRIES! The fries were FANTASTIC! The perfect crispy outside with soft, fluffy inside...and they were even just as tasty as they cooled off, unlike most fast food fries.

All in all, I didn't plan on writing a review, but this meal, even at the price point, was 5 stars. Give yourselves a tremendous pat on the back!

And if you find yourself in town, grab you a Giant Cheeseburger and a Tea!
