I was so excited to go here for the first time after paddle boarding on the lake with my two neighborhood friends because it's such a convenient location. I spent $70 on three meals including tip. Two meals were eaten now and one to-go for another neighbor. My food came out kind of warm which was a little disappointing but it still tasted good. When we were ready to go I said I'll take my to-go order now. We waited about another 15 minutes and then went up to the counter and the food was in a bag and almost cold. I nicely asked Rosa to make it hot. I went back to our table and waited..no problem.(Never mess with the people that serve your food) Rosa brought it to our table and practically threw it at me and angrily said they remade it. We were shocked at the level of unprofessionalism. Then, we could hear giggling at the top of the steps. A customer came over to us & said she could clearly see the young women giving us the middle finger behind our backs, And because she witnessed that level of disrespect she said she will not be eating here again! Rosa and the man at the counter were still snickering as we were leaving. This experience overall was like teenage drama in school or something. Unfortunately me and the two other people in my party did not feel valued and have absolutely no interest in coming back to this location. And the neighbor that bought the to-go order didn't feel safe eating their food since Rosa was nasty to us. I almost asked for a refund. Hoping the owner will reach out to us, if they value four local people's business.

Food was excellent. My concern is with the staff. Especially 2 ladies in particular. Just ate there this evening with two friends one of whom made a To-go order at the same time we ordered our dinner. I went to get the To-go order and our ticket had already been closed out. Eventually the food was made so that was cleared up. However the attitude of 2 female employees was appalling. Another costumer came to our table telling us that the employees were giving us the "finger" from behind the counter wall. Regardless of what led to this, this is the most unprofessional, downright disgusting customer service I have ever experienced. I enjoy Mexican cuisine, and I visit the San Jose chain often, but this behavior from staff is enough for me to take my business elsewhere.

I’ve been to several San Jose’s and I was excited to go to the one that was on Lake Murray. The logistics of the restaurant were a little bit different, but that was not a problem. Everything was fine until a to go order was forgotten. I don’t know where the miscommunication happened, but it had already been paid for. We met with rude service, to the extent of staff flipping us off while we were not looking. This was only brought to attention by other customers. I’m not sure how people can behave that way at work and still remain employed. All this to say, as much as I would have liked to have loved this spot as a go to place on the lake for a cocktail, I am utterly disgusted by the lack of professionalism that was displayed today.

Long time Lexington people—we boated over from Jake’s to try San Jose Marina. It was fantastic! Clean and pretty inside—they also have outdoor seating, we ordered steak and chicken quesadillas, queso, sangria and Dos Equis—everything was delicious! Chips were fresh, and it may be the best San Jose food we have had—and we are definitely connoisseurs of all of the local San Jose’s. We will be back! Thank you.❤️

Ok let’s gooo!!!
Oh lord!! First off! Who eats massive food, then goes out on big water??? First thought here hehe!
Cuz, yall know sooner or later them hot tamales gonna get ya!
Food - it’s to be said you do not get seated then order. Order soon as you walk in. You can take menus to whatever seat you want booze, i mean choose ?. They have a salsa bar!!! We got Mexican steak tacos and they were on point. Another thing to be said is as you have access to the salsa and condiments bar, you can make your taco whatever you want!! Hey yooo!!
Service - what service right? In all reality you order yourself, you make your own taco and you are the one doing all the work. So plus here is no tip needed.
Atmosphere- they are trying! Although the wait staff has been clearly parsed down due to lack of necessity they are still very kind and helpful in directing you on how to make your on food, previously prepared.
All in all I would say as a local the personable atmosphere is less than desirable. Get in, get out. Work for yourself Walmart self check out style. They just dont have the kiosks for self order yet. Sorry not sorry.
Great food robot style.
No job expansion here.

We celebrated our kids Birthday on Thursday. The restaurant team made sure everything was set for our friends and family. The service was fast and the food was great! Thank you San Jose.

A bit of a different ordering process at this location however I love the cantina feel, with the self served side bar!

We arrived by boat and went inside to sit down. We barely and finally understood from an employee that we needed to go upfront. Once there, we discovered that we needed to order at the counter. Payment is due when the order is placed and a tipping opportunity is of course offered on the receipt. I made a mistake of doing that. We took our own drinks to the table. Food was delivered to the table, but there was NO follow-up for service or satisfaction with the meal. There were a number of employees just sitting around. Very odd lack of service. Food was good and the Lake Murray view is nice. Prices are a bit on the high side. I am disappointed to have to give this experience a 2 out of 5 score. Very unlikely to boat over again to this restaurant.

Never have we EVER been disappointed at a San jose have ALWAYS said good things about San Jose, we go to San Jose in batesburg quite often, but tonight takes the cake, ordered Pollo street tacos, pollo asado, 2 corona’s, and a medium margarita. $63! Please explain how a medium margarita cost 21$ when all I asked for was a margarita on the rocks with sugar on the rim, and got it made with Luna Azul (I can go get an entire bottle of Luna Azul for the price I paid for my margarita), I questioned the price and couldn’t even understand what the guy was saying. Then when food came, street tacos didn’t come with cilantro or onions, asked for some and no one ever brought any. Not a single person that walked by our table stopped to ask if everything was ok, and we sat right by the door where they go back to the kitchen. So disappointed, from now on will only go to batesburg San Jose location where customers are actually taken care of and where things are made right if something is wrong.

Awesome place to pull up to off the boat. Fresh salsa makes you feel better after a day in the sun. You order at the window and the food comes out very quickly.

You can tell they cook much of the meats in house, the chorizo is wonderfully full of flavor with some fruity tones. The beef tips are rich and the salsa bar lets you pick your extra toppings and salsa as you see fit.
Definetly the best of San Jose’s I’ve been to.
