We had a wonderful experience here! Food was fresh and tasty! More authentic! (Which we like!) I asked if they had flour tortilla chips… and they made them fresh for me! I can not find that anywhere else locally. We will go back to try more of the menu. They serve breakfast all day! Try them out!

This is the worst food and service I've ever experienced. Only one person waiting tables, cooking and cleaning. Was given bean dip with my chips see photo. Not an onion! We didn't get napkins or silverware until we asked for it. This is the first restaurant I've actually walked out of because I could not eat the food it was sooooo bad!!!

We absolutely loved everything that we ordered. The food is so fresh, authentic, and delicious. The staff is friendly and the restaurant is clean. BEST Mexican restaurant we've been to in Lexington. We will definitely be back regularly.
Came here for breakfast. Chorizo Omelette and huevos Rancheros were excellent. Very friendly staff. Great atmosphere. A little different from all other chain Mexican restaurants in the area. Much more authentic Food.

El Amanecer is the best Mexican food we’ve had in Irmo, Columbia and Lexington. We are from Arizona so the bar is high. This is not your typical Tex Mex found on the west coast. It’s also not your typical bland, drenched in cheese sauce you find here in the Irmo, Columbia, and Lexington areas. This is flavorful, made from scratch with great pride. You can taste the love. I had the carne asada plate, the steak was SO FLAVORFUL, the chorizo, EXCELLENT, not greasy, not fatty. The tortillas are homemade and so fresh! The staff were so kind and we felt welcome there. The cost was very reasonable. We are going to put this place in our regular rotation! Take it from Arizonans, you have to give it try! Also the music awesome!
