I loved everything about the place. The food was better than expected. The waitress was as kind as can be. I felt like this place was for the working class American people. I felt at home at this establishment. It truly is a sad day for South Carolinians. I will have to find a new favorite restaurant. It will not be easy. Live, laugh, love

LMFAO thank god they're closing. I'll never forget I went on a date here. Our waitress was very unprofessional and got my order wrong. When the food came out and I told her it was wrong, instead of fixing it, she sends her friend (other waitress) over to tell us off. I've never been back. Wish I could remember their names. Should've hired more professional and attentive staff. Not highschoolers.

I used to work in the food industry. The servers don't seem to get the idea of service. This is in most restaurants now a days. Why is it that when they bring your food or drinks they can't seem to give it to the person who ordered it. Is it to hard to walk around the table to give the person their food or drinks? They always want to hand it to the person they are closest to to pass it down. They can't remember to bring things to the table like plates for appetizers or bread. This is the kind d of service that makes me not want to return. And why I won't leave more generous tips.

Great service from the young girl. Food was horrible! And I mean everything!!! The bread was hard as rock. The ribeye steak was like a burnt roast. The cream corn was regular corn cold straight out of a can. The grits had large lumps in it. They were out of half there stuff. By far the worst!!

Don't go to this place! Over a hour and a half wait, although barely anyone was at the restaurant. Food was not edible. Entire order returned. Some pictures are attached. I suggest you and everyone you know never go unless you have a wish to die of food poisoning and have hours to waste.

Walked to a sign that said "credit card machine not working, cash only". No big deal. Had cash and place was nearly empty. Figured quick lunch and go. Service was slow. Waitress would disappear and not come back. When she came back she brought drinks(refills ) no one needed or asked for. They say untouched since we had finished eating. Waited another 10 minutes for to go box and check. Food was ok. Seems like it might be a good bar for happy hour, but not a quick meal.

We went there for dinner and there was hardly anyone there to eat. We were seated as soon as we walked in, waiter came and got our drink order. I ordered a steakmedium-well and when it arrived, my steak was BURNT on the outside and rare inside. Ordered a baked potato with just butter. Baked potato was old (like left over and cooked multiple times) cold to the fact the butter was not melted. My husband said that he has never seen me eat my steak with ketchup for the whole 23 years of us being together. Husband's food was not any better. Waiter came to see how everything was and he could tell by the look on my face. Asked if he could do anything to make it better, told him to please bring the check. While handing the check to me he had mentioned to please be "nice" while leaving him a tip. I have never been ask by a waiter or waitress that before. I hate that our experience was not a good one, this place use to be really good and that is why we went back. I don't think we will be back again or anytime soon.Parking: Plenty of parking due to not being crowded on Saturday night around 6:30 or so.

If you want to go to a party, this is the place you want to go. Waited to be greeted, no one around. When we were seated, waited another 5 or 10 minutes to get drinks and rolls. The waitress took our order and disappeared for 30 minutes. Never checked on our food or offered us more to drink. The party was being held in back, so not sure where the manager was. No one had their food, and they were plenty staffed. I heard one customer ask the waitir what kind of cheese was on the sliders, his reply was "yellow". After 45 minutes. No food and no contact with staff, we got up and walked out! Enjoy your party in the back staffers, without customers, you will be out of a job! I won't go back!

1st time going to Fatz and it was pretty good. Appetizers were pretty good, but definitely get the firesticks! And the lil bread rolls with butter were amazing! Habanero sauce on your ribs is a must, but pass on the mashed potatoes.. they were a lil too tangy for my taste. Kid loved his wings. Best thing was the service, it was amazing! Our waiter was very polite, cool and attentive.

Havent been to FatZ in years so I decided to give it a try. Our waiter was nice. Only dishes I enjoyed were the fried green tomatoes and sweet potato casserole. The mash potatoes, grits, and chicken fried steak were absolutely horrible. I will not be returning it was a waste of money.

Fatz use to be a regular spot for us, but we hadn't been in several years. We came today for dinner and it was an underwhelming experience. We ordered popcorn shrimp and broccoli for our daughter - which came out wrong. When I finally brought it to our servers attention (we were done by the time I got her attention) she said that she had noticed that when she brought the food out. Um... what? Anyway I ordered shrimp and grits and they we're definitely not how I remembered. The shrimp were basically burnt. My husband ordered a margarita that was pretty terrible as well.I try to be honest in my reviews, and rarely do I give a really negative one but this place is definitely not how I remember.

We went to this location on a Sunday afternoon. It was not very busy and we were seated right away. The server was fine, but the food was awful. We ordered the fried mushrooms and they were awful with a weird and strong taste like ash tray. We sent them back and ordered the loaded fries. They were okay, but as we were dipping them in the ranch sauce, I discovered a quarter size, mystery chunk in the ranch. We examined it while waiting for the server to return, and it was something squishy and rubbery. The server took it away and sent the manager. She told us the mystery chunk in the ranch was a piece of avocado. I really don't believe that it was avacado, but either way it was gross. The material on the booths are horribly cracked and worn. I was wearing shorts and I ended up putting some napkins down to sit on as the back of my legs were becoming irritated. We ended up leaving shortly after our food was on the table. I didn't even want to try it at this point. Also, my son ordered popcorn shrimp and broccoli. I tasted his food and the shrimp was stale and cold. The broccoli tasted as if it was weeks old. When we were standing up to leave, I could hear the manager yelling in the kitchen. We will never be back. This place needs chef Ramsey or something of the like.

If you're into food that oddly has a thick, shell-ish film over it, this is the place for you. The rolls were hard, my mashed potato's were hard, not hot and not seasoned, my friend's mac and cheese had a glossy film over it showing it was frozen, the server had a beautiful waterfall of sweat running down his forehead and put me in a corner where my waiter, (Parker) walked right past me about 4 times. Parker is nice, oddly charming and awkward and called me "buddy" every chance he could. It's been years since I've been to a Fatz, and it will probably be a few more before I return. I just really wanted poppyseed rolls and cinnamon butter.Im seated within eyeshot of the kitchen, where I witnessed a woman who works in the back, take food off someone's plate and eat it before sending it out. Or at least, that's what my eyes told my brain I saw.I'll say this: The food is not worth it's price. Save your money, and if you do come here, join the free VIP club courtesy of the triangular card stock pillar at your table. You'll save $5 on your meal. (EDIT: The VIP club no longer exists.)I've had Frozen TV dinner's better than this.I paid $17.43 for dry chicken, cold, lifeless potatoes and frozen mac and cheese.

Not the usual for this Fatz but this was my first time back at this location for a while, so could be the norm now. The server checked on us and did what he could buy something was wrong with the kitchen. Twenty minutes after our order was taken and we were just patiently waiting, the server had to come back out and tell us there was no more Calabash Popcorn shrimp. We had to decide on a substitute. Another 30 minutes and dinner was served. While they provided jumbo shrimp at no extra cost (of course), my son was not pleased. He was not fond of it still having a tail and the breading to shrimp ratio did not please him either. I would have left but my kids had asked for Fatz and did not want to leave. After the meal my son wished he had.

I don't know what happen to Fatz over the years. It use to be soooo much better. Back when they had the loaded stuffed potatoes and the wings were to die for. Now with this open rusted look and mediocre good selections it is so not the same. I understand businesses changing but they are so far from what we truly loved about them. The food is always a hit and miss, no consistency. They seem to be fading as new restaurants are emerging.
