If I hadn't been riding with someone else, I would've stayed and ate more. Food and service was top shelf. ?

Not as good as it used to be. Fried pork chop was thin, curled up and tough. Mac and cheese, over cooked and under seasoned. Black eyed peas? Just straight out of the can, bland as can be. I know its not fine dining, but country cooking still should be packed with flavor.

Waited 20-25 mins for cold, untasteful slop. Only reason we didn't walk out cause we were hungry and had wasted so much time. When I mentioned it to the manger when I checked out they shrugged their shoulders. Personally I or my family won't be going back to this place.

Tried this place for the first and it was okay. The service was great and I loved the old timey feel to that place. I got the fried chicken with mashed potatoes and gravy and cabbage. The chicken had good flavor to it but was a bit dry but the mashed potatoes and gravy were delicious. The cabbage was cooked well but it turns out I don’t like it when it’s cooked with ham hock (not a mark against lizard thicket since it’s a personal preference and not anything they did wrong). I didn’t try the rolls there but the cornbread muffin was very dry and dense. It felt like I was chewing on the muffin for 5 minutes before I finally washed it down with my drink.

The Boss needs to learn how to treat his staff, especially in front of the customers.

Wife ordered fried catfish and it was pasty, flavorless, and chewy. I ordered the $20 ribeye steak and it tasted like grade D frozen meat with no seasoning aside from old grease.Great server. She was the best part of the experience.

Drove over on a Tuesday night from Chapin! Shout out to the cooks and servers here! Food was superb at this location. Tasted like the old Lizards Thicket. I got back in line for seconds! Come teach the Irmo, SC location a thing or two!

Waitress was attentive without being overbearing. Food was nothing "blow your mind" special, but nothing at all was bad about it, which is a remarkable feat in itself. Portions were large, which was great because i was starving. Overall a good dining experience.
