Food isn't good anymore. Hash and rice was dry and so were the chicken. You don't get enough food for what they charge. Need better cooks and more food on your plate. It used to be the best in SC.
Maurice has great food. I have had pretty much everything and haven’t been disappointed. My favorite are their burgers and brisket sandwich, and sweet potato fries. I highly recommend them. Not only is the food amazing but the service is fast, accurate, and super friendly.Parking: There was plenty of parking.
Food was amazing. My plate was made to go instead of dine in which was fine except I was worried the portions would be smaller in a to go plate. The sides were adequate but the amount of brisket I got for $23 was ridiculously small. I asked the manager if there was anything they could do. She asked to see my plate and confirmed there needed to be more brisket. Without question she returned with a double portion. The gesture was really appreciated. If you go drive through maybe just check your plate first

We always stop at Piggie Park in Lexington when we are passing through Columbia. It is my favorite BBQ and they have the best banana pudding.
Not all Maurice's are created equally. Keep that in mind. This one I am reviewing so far is the best one I found. Ok so I have only been to two of them but this one is the best. The ribs are phenomenal! Just the right amount of sauce spread out on the ribs and not drizzled like other places. Spreading really does enhance the flavor. The big one on S Lake Drive in Lexington is the best. Just my opinion. The ribs are great, the greens, hush puppies, sweet potato fries, onion rings, all of it is delicious. Did I mention the ribs? If you are a rib person, you have to try this Maurice's ribs. You won't be disappointed. Go ahead and get the 5 rib plate because left overs (if you have any) are always great! Service was good - nice, friendly, small town folks. The place looks like a diner but it is clean. Definitely will come back when in the area. So much comfort in this food! Haha
