My brother & I where traveling from FL to VA and chose Roy’s as our 1/2 way lunch spot. We both left congratulating each other on our decision. The food was delicious. The atmosphere friendly and the owner & staff exceptional. If you have the opportunity to eat here, don’t pass it up!

Food was good. Ribs, brisket, hash and rice, okra, all of it was good. Sauces were great, really excellent sauces. Value was disappointing. Worst food to cost ratio I've had at any BBQ place in a long time. Especially the ribs. Brisket serving size was better. Service and cleanliness were both great. Lady who served us was kind, and the restaurant is lovely.

The grill at the entrance makes it difficult to breathe (smoke allergies), but the food is excellent!

So I should have shared pics but the food was so good I couldn’t hold off lol….. I had pulled pork and my buddy had the brisket and both were amazing……. Also you gotta try the collards, I even admitted they were better than I cook at home… nick is the man and was definitely the star of the show ( well after the food 😂

I love smoking meats at home and 99% of the time I eat at a bbq restaurant I end up disappointed. Let me tell you this place did no such thing. The collard greens stole the show, but the brisket was good as well. I wish I could have given a 6th star for service. Nick helped us order, made a few suggestions, and brought our food out to us quickly. His customer service skills are above and beyond. Yall need to keep this dude around.
