This is my wife's review. I agree 100% it is sad as we want to support local.....Date Night Tonight and we decided to go The Farmhouse Grill . When they first opened we ran across them and went in for lunch. The atmosphere and food was amazing. Tonight we decided to come back and have dinner. I had the pulled pork with green beans and fries, which was good. My husband had the Country fried steak with rice and gravy and fried okra. He said the country fried steak had a strange texture but rice,& gravy was ok and the okra was good. The service on the other had....Our waitress didn't look like she really wanted to be there and when we asked her a question we got very very short answers. The guy who gave us brought us our food, was wearing a toboggan with a hoodie over it and headphones on his head. Neither one of them.came back to check and see if everything was OK. When she came back, she took our plates and then looked at us and asked if we were done....I hope so since you took our plates. She asked how we were paying WITHOUT giving us the bill. So we had no idea how much it was. When we asked if there was a difference in card or cash she said it was more for card but had no idea how much it was. And then had to ask her associate and it ended up being the same. They didn't say say Thank you or goodbye when we left either. We were both VERY disappointed and are not sure if we will be back. Too bad because we wanted them to succeed. This was crappy!

Nobody knows what’s going on….We ate there after a track meet. This past Tuesday. Waitress took our drink order. We ordered off the drink menu. Southern tea: waitress brought us sweet tea. Not a mixed drink. We asked her what that was: she was confused and called a second waitress. She said “I’ve never seen that menu.” There was one visible on every table. Then they brought at 3rd waitress who said I’ve never seen that (the menu) but I can make it if you want: we declined lol. We ordered: food is cafeteria food: chicken fried chicken w gravy and green beans, cheese steak; and kids chicken fingers meal. My fork fell in the gravy and it didn’t even stick to the fork because it was prepare first and sat under the heat lamp and got a film on it: cheese steak was cooked hard: never had a waitress come back to the table. Had to get up and request a refill on my daughters water and watched the table next to us do the same: went to pay and the register didn’t work so we had to wait on someone to bring a handheld device: was disappointed because we saw Nicky’s was associated with it and we love that place: wouldn’t go back unless it was free. Also staff looked like they rolled out of bed: don’t mind kids….do mind gross: when it comes to food:

Ordered a cheeseburger atw with no mustard or ketchup. I called to let them know my order was not correct and the girl got an attitude and argued that I ordered a cheeseburger with Mayo only. So, why did I get lettuce and tomatoes if I ordered it with Mayo only. The order taker is NOT paying attention. Not to mention no fries on my husbands plate. I don’t believe we will be back. Lastly, you should NEVER argue with a customer and tell them how they want their food!! I know how I like my burger, she doesn’t!! I believe her name is Ashley. I gave a one star for food and service gets ZERO stars for the attitude and arguing.

Vegetarian options: I ordered sides of Mac and cheese (best since grandma’s), collards, field peas, fried okra and Cole slaw. It was wonderful. The waitress was all about hospitality. If I lived around there I would eat there most days.

I come this way sometimes and saw this restaurant. So we tried breakfast to start with one visit. It was good. Service was ok, nothing to write home about. We decided to try dinner. Come out last night (Dec 1st) and pulled up at 8:45pm (didn’t know what time they closed). We did leave once we found out they closed at 9pm. We could see through the window, one of the waitresses roll her eyes and huff. So we decided to come back earlier for dinner. We pull up around 7:30/7:45pm. One table was occupied, rest were empty. We sat down, got water and looked at the menu. She took the order. We ordered 6 teriyaki wings with ranch, the philly and the Carolina burger (with the BBQ sauce on the side). Burger was ok, bacon could have been crispier, wings were good (sauce tasted like it was store bought). Proper wings are completely sauced not just drizzled in sauce. Philly was poor looking. Fries were good. A different girl brought our food, asked if we needed ketchup or anything. I said yes, she goes off to get it. And my husband says and ranch as they didn’t bring that. Told her ranch when she came back. She rolled her eyes and walked off to get it. She had an attitude, seemed like she didn’t want to be there, played on her phone a lot. As soon as we were done, she immediately took our trays. Kinda felt like we were being rushed to leave. A gentleman walked in when we were almost done. He asked if he could order, lady said yea. He said ok I was hoping y’all were still open. She said well kinda. It was 8:15pm and they close at 9pm. I overheard the conversation and she said they’ve been dead a lot so they close early. That’s not advertised anywhere. If you want to close early, make it known to the public. DO NOT GET AN ATTITUDE AND ROLL YOUR EYES WHEN I’M CHOOSING TO SPEND MY MONEY AT YOUR RESTAURANT. You do not close til 9pm. If you didn’t want anymore customers, then you should have already been closed. It seems like from the reviews, you have to be a REGULAR to get good food AND good service. If you are a new customer, turn around and walk out. Food was eh, ok. Service, terrible. Won’t be coming back.
Waitress was blondish/brown hair and glasses. The other girl was mid back brownish hair.

Twice I’ve called and been told “we can’t do that” and then proceeds to hang up the phone instead of finding a solution.

Came last night with my fiancé. I ordered the country fried steak, fried okra, Mac and cheese, & a side salad. The food was bland as could be but no big deal, I added some pepper and ate it. The issue lies in the service. Not once after our food was dropped off did the waitress come and check on us. My drink was empty not too long after we got our food. I ended up sliding my drink to the edge of the table so she could see that I needed more drink. She went to the table right next to us and then went to the table directly behind us and chatted with her friends then went behind the counter and never came and brought me more drink. Another lady came over and refilled our drinks so bless her. Regardless the service was pathetic and nonexistent. And no, the inside was not busy at all, she stayed behind the counter cutting up and chatting. I would NEVER recommend.
