We love coming here! We gladly make the drive from Blythewood because we know it’s going to be a great meal and great fun. Took the kids last night and had the BEST hibachi chef - “007”. He made the experience so fun for all of us, especially the kids. Food was delish too!

Table for 7. 4 of us got shrimp. The shrimp tasted like a chemical or like it was soaked in dirty water. We asked for a manager and explained to the server why. Manager never came, instead the manager sent the server back and told us they will take 10% off the plates that had shrimp. So rude to put the server in such an awkward situation and extremely unprofessional a manager would not come.

Delicious hibachi at a fair price!
Our chef was new to the restaurant, but he cooked amazingly well.
The place is clean and the shrimp were bigger than most other hibachi places. The steak was very tender. Even my husband commented on the tenderness of the steak.
The only thing I would say is I wish there was more fried rice. That portion was a little small. Probably because they give you noodles at the end of your meal. The fried was was better tho. :)

Went for the first and last time. I ordered the filet, scallops, and lobster and a friend had got the filet and shrimp. The cook was difficult to understand with him wearing a mask, so no entertainment there. He placed the seafood down at the same time as the filet. I ordered my filet MR got med to med well. I had to ask him to take the scallops off because I did not want them overcooked, thank God I asked. The shrimp and lobster were so chewy you couldn't eat it from being so overcooked. Don't like to complain, we paid for our meal and our cats enjoyed the lobster and shrimp.

Food is consistently good, restaurant is clean. Wait staff is good. However, we’ve ordered bar drinks on the past three visits and there is virtually zero alcohol in the drinks. Much room for improvement with the bartending!

This is our absolute favorite dinner spot, especially for birthdays, but I recommend asking for 007 as your chef and Mirage as your server. 10 /10 . We enjoyed another birthday celebration for my son Alex and our friends son, Preston. Delicious sushi, tataki, and of course, hibachi. Tip your servers well !!

If you’re looking for a dining experience that’s both delicious and entertaining, Sukiya Japanese Steakhouse is the place to be. From the moment you walk through the doors, you’re greeted by the rich, inviting aromas of sizzling meats and savory sauces, and the lively sounds of chefs masterfully working the hibachi grills. Sukiya isn’t just a restaurant — it’s an experience that leaves you full, happy, and eager to return.
The ambiance strikes the perfect balance between upscale dining and relaxed comfort. Whether you’re seated at a traditional table or at the hibachi grill, the atmosphere is warm and welcoming. It’s an ideal spot for special occasions like birthdays, family dinners, or even casual date nights.
Now, let’s talk about the food — because it’s the true star of the show. The menu at Sukiya offers a wide variety of Japanese dishes, from expertly prepared sushi rolls to hearty hibachi dinners cooked right in front of you. The hibachi experience is something truly special. The chefs are not only incredibly skilled in their craft but also know how to entertain, with tricks like flaming onion volcanoes, flying shrimp tails, and impressive knife work. They engage the table with jokes and playful banter, making each meal feel personal and memorable.
I highly recommend the hibachi steak and shrimp combo — the steak is always cooked to perfection, tender and flavorful, while the shrimp is juicy and perfectly seasoned. The fried rice, made fresh on the grill with eggs, vegetables, and a touch of soy sauce, is some of the best I’ve ever had. The vegetables are crisp and lightly charred, adding a wonderful texture and flavor to the plate. Every meal comes with a fresh salad, served with their signature ginger dressing, and a warm bowl of miso soup — both simple, comforting, and a perfect start to the meal.
Their sushi menu is equally impressive. Fresh, high-quality fish, creative rolls, and beautifully presented platters make it a great option even if you’re not sitting at the hibachi grill. The Spicy Tuna Roll and Dragon Roll are personal favorites — flavorful, fresh, and well-balanced.
Service at Sukiya is consistently top-notch. The staff is attentive, friendly, and genuinely cares about the dining experience. Drinks are refilled promptly, requests are handled with a smile, and the entire team works seamlessly to ensure that every guest feels welcomed and valued. It’s the kind of place where the staff remembers repeat customers and makes an effort to create a personal connection.
The pricing is very fair for the quality of food, portion sizes, and the entertainment value you receive. It’s one of those places where you truly feel like you’re getting your money’s worth — leaving satisfied, both with the meal and the experience.
To sum it up, Sukiya Japanese Steakhouse delivers on every front: flavorful, freshly prepared dishes, talented and entertaining chefs, excellent customer service, and a warm, lively atmosphere. It’s a place that turns an ordinary meal into an event and leaves you already planning your next visit.
Highly recommended to anyone who appreciates great food, great people, and a little extra flair with their dinner.
Few dishes embody the heart and soul of Japanese comfort food quite like sukiyaki. From the first simmering notes of sweet soy broth to the final bite soaked in rich, savory goodness, this dish offers an unforgettable journey for the senses.
My most recent sukiyaki experience was nothing short of spectacular. Served in a traditional cast-iron pot at the table, the dish came alive with a medley of thinly sliced, marbled beef, fresh vegetables like napa cabbage, mushrooms, and leeks, and hearty additions like tofu and shirataki noodles. The moment the beef hit the hot pot, the aroma of soy, mirin, and sugar mingled into something deeply nostalgic and mouthwatering
What sets sukiyaki apart is not just its rich flavor but the unique way it is enjoyed. Dipping the cooked ingredients into a bowl of raw, beaten egg might sound unfamiliar to some, but it creates a silky, luscious coating that elevates the umami-packed flavors. Every bite is balanced—sweet yet savory, delicate yet deeply satisfying.
Sukiyaki is more than a meal—it's an experience best shared. It brings people together around a bubbling pot, creating conversation, laughter, and a sense of togetherness. Whether enjoyed at a traditional Japanese restaurant or made at home, it never fails to warm both the body and the heart.

Great food. Server mixed up drink orders several times. Atmosphere is very lacking. Needs some more decor. Feels very industrial.

Came in tonight and I loved the chef we had at our section. He was amazing and the only reason really why I’m leaving five stars. I honestly wish all our tips went straight to his pockets. He seemed like a kind and generous person.
The waitress on the other hand Stacey, very unfriendly, ignored a majority of request from our table like for napkins, stuff like that. The most unsettling part is watching her leave straight from the bathroom without washing her hands and go straight back to the waitress counter grab bags and start passing them out to another table. I’d give her a 1 out of 5 stars if I could. She does not belong in a customer service position.
