Disappointed is an understatement! We had a reservation for our 28th wedding anniversary, confirmed and reminder sent and all via Resy, for 5/16/2026 at 5PM. (We made the reservation just a week ago.) We arrived to find the restaurant was CLOSED! No warning…no message to cancel our reservation or anything. They took the time to put a note on the door saying they were temporarily closed, but didn’t cancel online reservations, which left us scrambling to find a last minute place to eat for our anniversary.
I hope this isn’t how you typically do business, because this is absolutely terrible!

This is the first time that I rated a place (restaurant) because of the website (Special Events) and their AI technology for making a reservation??? We always like going here for their lobster and jazz music in April. The lobster 🦞 was always cooked perfect and the wine 🍷 selections is nice. So I use my AI on my phone and ask if Brentwood was still having thei lobster and jazz in April. My AI said yes they are and asked if I wanted to make reservations so it automatically contacted me to their phone. So they're using AI technology for doing reservations. there AI was very confused. When I tried to make a reservations for the lobster and jazz Special Event., AI could not do it so I asked if I could talk to someone AI said there was nobody available and then it disconnected me. So I found a different number and I finally was able to talk to someone there. They said that they were not doing it in April??? I said your website says you're doing it???. Need to fix The website or remove it!!! she Just didn't care. So this is the reason why I rated this place a one star. You just don't do that to your customers. UPDATE!!! I JUST FOUND OUT WHY?? THEY'RE TEMPORARILY CLOSED BECAUSE HE HASN'T BEEN PAYING ON A $2.1 MILLION LOAN??? THAT MAKES SENSE NOW.

The hostess was wild. She also doubled as the waitress and gave me uneasy looks when we showed up mind you it was three adults, two children and an infant with reservations. We ordered a bottle of wine, two cocktails and entrees for five, as the infant ate off her mother‘s plate. Anytime I had to get up from the table to take one of my children to the bathroom. The woman stared at me as if I were trying to leave. I felt very uncomfortable and will never go back. The food may be good, but judging people based off their looks and for me, that means my tattoos will never get me back in your restaurant. lastly, the waitress/host did force the 20% gratuities, even though only five people ate and ordered drinks. When asked about it, she told me I was a party of six…with an infant who didn’t order a thing.

We sat for a literal 20 minutes just to get water. Won’t discuss the cocktails. The She crab soup and the French onion were on point! The duck and the lamb were over cooked. The atmosphere was enjoyable and interesting with the antiques and the corks on the wall. Lots of history in the building. I’d go back for another shot as they were busy. Spent close to $200 for two including tip.

Another hidden gem in Little River! Great atmosphere, awesome service, delicious food and drinks. We went for happy hour on a Wednesday and it was BUSY - and now I see why!

My husband and I have been wanting to try this place ever since we saw it on the Travel channel and I'm so glad we finally went! It's such a neat old house turned restaurant and the food was amazing! Our server Daphne was great! Thank you for an outstanding dining experience!

Excellent experience all around. Remarkable service, attitude, lighting, and amenities. Delicious fresh drinks and food. We had a birthday group of 6. We were served by 2 wonderfully attentive waitstaff. We shared an Escargo du chef appetizer and drinks. We ordered SeaBass, Duck, Filet Mignon w/ Lobster, Filet tips, French onion soup and finished up with creme brulet. Fantastical!

Great place for Great food, and spooky history! for valentine’s with a few girlfriends we decided to switch things up a little bit and visit this historical landmark needless to say we were very pleased and spooked a little all in one but what a great staff out server was awesome the drinks were 10/10 food 9/10 definitely recommend if you and your family or some friends would like to enjoy lunch or dinner in a place such as this and learning about the ghosts that roam the restaurant before during and after hours haha we loved it!

We had a reservation on a Saturday evening at 5:30 pm. We arrived on time and were immediately seated in a room with five tables; we were the only ones in there! By the time we left, all but one of the tables were full but noise level was not objectionable. Food was wonderful and our waitress was very helpful in helping us make selections. I had the lamb and my husband has Chilean sea bass; both were delicious. She crab soup was divine!
The food was fantastic as always. We just had a louder group next to us. We were the only 2 groups but they spoke loudly. My wife and I had to talk right at each other to hear! However, I love the restaurant and we be back soon as it is too close not to enjoy! Thank you for a great anniversary dinner!
