Best Mexican food I've had in Western North Carolina.
I've lived in Mexico City, grew up in San Francisco, moved to Asheville and this is the real deal. Food is wonderful and the service was as good as the food!

What a great find! First time visit. Armando took care of us. Margaritas were some of the best we've ever had. Cool vibe. The food? Amazing. Huge portions. Great salsa, both regular and hot. The salsa bar is a great addition also.
Good food. Enjoyed!

Their food was good but their Salsa bar left a lot to be desired. All of their dips were either really salty or just plain bland.

We have been to both locations Love the vibe, always busy but never have to wait long for a table. Great fresh salsa, hot chips and everything we’ve had is DELICIOUS! The waitstaff is friendly and make the experience even better. This will be out go to neighborhood Mexican restaurant. Why try another when we have found perfection!

My husband and I have been regular customers at Los Mayas for quite some time. We’ve enjoyed many meals here, ordering both food and drinks, and for the most part, the food has been consistently good. I also love to support local businesses in my community, so it’s important to me to give my money where it helps our area thrive. I’ve even made a point of telling my fellow Latino friends that Los Mayas is a good place to eat with quality food — but after my most recent experience, I will no longer be doing that. As a Latina, flavor is very important to me, and I always enjoy having different sauces with my meals. I don’t mind paying extra for sauces — in fact, I prefer to, since the complimentary ones don’t always suit our taste. Today I ordered two plates of fresh fish tacos to go (around $40) and asked about getting some additional sauces, even offering to pay. The woman at the counter assured me everything was already in the bag. When I checked my order in the car, this wasn’t true. I went back inside and kindly offered to pay $10 just for sauces, but I was met with attitude, dismissive questions, and reluctance before finally being given some. It left me feeling uncomfortable and unwelcome, which has unfortunately been a pattern during recent visits. At the end of the day, if customers are willing to pay, it shouldn’t be such a challenge to get something as simple as sauces — especially when they’re visibly available. For us, the atmosphere and treatment have outweighed the food, and sadly this will be our last visit. FYI if anyone ever wants a different sauce than what they give you for free, it’s $1 per sauce.
Like the Lake Robinson location since it had opened. I really like this location as it is closer home. Highly recommend Los Mayas for the whole dine out experience, value, quality service.
