I just tried Big John’s for the first time and came across it on my travels in South Carolina with my friends. I could not give a better review on the food and staff that work here. They made me and my friends feel like family, especially Big John and Pamela who went out of their ways to be kind, helpful, and talk about their passions for food which showed in their cooking. If you are looking to try soul food for the first time or just want a delicious meal with good company...
First time visiting this family owned venue. The young lady working the counter was very nice and polite, the food was very good but when it sat in a hot tray it tends to get dried out, like the fried chicken and cornbread. The baked chicken my granny got, was fall off the bone tender. She said the flavor was delicious. The yams were very good! While we were sitting there, I believe the young man who owned the restaurant came in and asked how we were and if we enjoyed the food....
