Food was good but a little overpriced IMO. I just wanted a sandwich for takeout and $20 seemed a little steep but I get it. The cafe was super cute so the atmosphere is part of what you’re buying and I wasn’t there to enjoy it

Such a cute, California vibey, cafe. Service was great as my group of four sat in one of the community style high stops.
No appetizers; just an assortment of soup and sandwich options. Such a tough choice as their daily special was called my name with the whipped feta, I ended up deciding on the Ham and Cheese with the crab soup. Homemade sourdough bread of course!
Gluten free options as well!
I will return and definitely will recommend to friends that are coming into town to visit.
Parking: Parking is tough, and I actually had to walk from down the road a ways. Maybe due to it being a busy time? Just carpool if you can!

I recently had a delicious lunch of the BLT on a croissant with the wonderful raspberry tea. My bill was $20.59. I needed change for a tip, so I gave the server $30. She asked if I needed change, and I responded with “Yes, please”. She never returned after 15 minutes. I tried to get her attention as she assisted other customers, but she avoided any eye contact. I enjoyed my lunch but was disappointed a server would expect nearly a 50 percent tip.

Went on the Monday holiday for Labor Day for lunch after visiting the aquarium. My mom has celiacs and so gluten free finds are always going to get the business. But the food was top notch, the variety of breads that we had (sourdough, baguette, and GF) were each perfect for the sandwiches we chose, and I got a half sandwich and a half chicken Cobb salad which was delicious with the bacon mustard vinaigrette. Added draft beer from a local brewery and took a big chocolate chip cookie home for later. Everything was delicious. My only complaint if I am being honest is with the holiday lunch being so crowded, the main dining area has no acoustic tiles like I saw in the bar area, so talking to one another and hearing what was said was next to impossible. Guess that helped us stay focused on the meal with all our futile attempts at sharing our experiences. Oh well, always time to talk on the 2 hour drive home.

This place is incredible for a quick and tasty lunch. Clean and quality ingredients, amazing service, and such a cute atmosphere. We will definitely be coming back, and in my opinion definitely worth the drive from Charleston.

Amazing food as usual. Would recommend trying a soup of some kind. The only fault is the service is consistently slow. It has been slow the past 8 times I have been here over the course of 1 year. Other patrons are loud, rude and entitled, that is probably why the servers are jaded...
