We went for dinner and got there early, about 530pmbamd were seated immediately as it wasn't very busy. We ordered pizza and a salad. The food was taking a long time to come out. The waitress came back to tell us, after about 45 minutes of waiting that the pizza was backed up about an hour due to to go orders. We were never told this at seating.nifnwenhad, we would have chosen to go somewhere else because we were very hungry and didn't want a long wait. Also, 2 pizzas and a salad were overpriced at $70.

Lovely experience at Grimaldi’s. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Frank’s Sinatra playing on the speakers, NYC pictures and subway signs throughout the restaurant. Very reminiscent of NYC

Loved the vibes of the place. It’s just ironic that I am from nyc and I would want pizza at night the first night in Charleston. This was close to our hotel, and open till 9pm. The servers were nice. Amazing strawberry lemonade mocktail. Great Margherita pizza, you could tell it was fresh ingredients. The calzone was huge and passed the cheese pull test but could use some more salt. Pricy but you leave full, so I am giving it a 5. We had kids with us so it wasn’t the quiet romantic type of dinner but this is the place for that.

Service is bad. Servers don't know how to do there job. Managers aren't any better. You get seated and the server didn't come over. Waited 10 minutes and left.
Everything was delicious. The pizza was cooked perfectly and the buffalo mozzarella was so fresh. The “small” sized salad was plenty for two people and not too much dressing, just right. Pictured is the margherita with meatballs. We sat at the outside bar and service was spot on too! Very good value and experience. We’ll be back!

If this pizza was 10 bucks I would be ecstatic, but it's 30. It needs to be awesome and it just wasn't.

Nothing like trying to call & place & order & being placed on hold for over 22 minutes with no one ever picking the phone back up. Had to place order online, which I did not want to do, because I had questions. The place was not even busy when I picked up the order. Very poor customer service.
