To say the Sweet Shop is an iconic legend in Mt P is an understatement!! You won't find better food anywhere at any price for what's on his menu. As restaurants come and go I can't think of any other that's still in business after 30+ years.

I never leave reviews. But this one deserves the time and the 5 stars! Some of the best pork chops and fried chicken. Hamburgers and onion rings were excellent. A true hole in the wall. But oh so worth it!

The LITERAL definition of "hole-in-the-wall", If you drive 5 mph too fast, you'll drive right past it! This is the OLDEST black-owned restaurant in Mt. Pleasant. Step in and you're immediately taken back to a time that screams "local gathering spot". Laid back, slow paced, and full of charm, the character of this spot is incredible. Extremely affordable and incredible southern inspired soul food flavor. And the best part, they serve WHOLE WINGS instead of the smaller party-style wingettes! Friendly staff and Ms. Renee is an absolute gem!

Chicken. Burgers. Pork chops. Are outstanding. Salads fresh. Two blocks from home. Friendly and courteous service. You get the most for your money in all of town.
