Needing takeout that would allow me to catch a sunset on time, this place fit the bill. It was a tiny space for dine-in, but my food was fresh and ready at the promised time, and I got more of a welcome than I'd expected for a quick takeout. I had a delicious smell (mostly basil) wafting to me as I rushed to make my appointment with the sunset. The pizza didn't reinvent any wheels, being a thin crust that focused emphasis on the toppings. The cheese was rich and the basil strong. My salad with gorgonzola and roasted nuts was arguably more filling than the pizza, and came with enough dressing for three salads. The amount of food for the money wasn't a ton, but I was satisfied with my decision.

Best pizza and olive oil! Every bite was delightful, well balanced, perfection! Olive oil had a unique flavor to it. Waitress informed us the owner makes and ships her own olive oil straight from Milan. Had to take a 1 liter bottle of our own home! Quite busy but the wait staff was attentive and organized, and after a quick wait they got us in. Noticed hostess thanking 2 parties by name, wait staff was personable, kind, and attentive to everyone. Great experience. Thanks!

Best pizza I've ever had in my life!! Service was amazing, they make everyone feel like a part of the family. We were visiting for vacation and found this gem based on reviews. My only regret is that I can't go here in a regular basis.

I've eaten here a few times. Every dish is excellent. It's the best pizza joint in Charleston, but Park Pizza is also unbelievable (if you're looking for something less traditional than La Pizzeria).

Finally! Authentic Italian Pizza in South CarolinaAs someone who craves the true flavors of Italy, I've been on a seemingly endless quest for authentic pizza in South Carolina. La Pizzeria has ended my search! Their Margherita pizza with mushrooms was an absolute revelation. The crust was the perfect combination of airy and crisp, with a delightful char reminiscent of wood-fired ovens. The sauce was bursting with the sweetness of ripe tomatoes, and the mozzarella melted with that beautiful creaminess you only find in Italy. The mushrooms were perfectly cooked, adding an earthy richness to every bite.A dual citizen of the US and Italy, I visit Italy frequently. The quality and ambiance of La Pizzeria transported me back to the bustling pizzerias of Naples. The restaurant itself has a cozy, family-run atmosphere that added to the genuine Italian experience. The secret, I discovered, lies in their commitment to importing key ingredients directly from Italy. It's a difference you can taste in every single bite. Plus, the service was friendly and attentive, making the meal even more enjoyable.

While it wasn't a really busy evening, we were greeted and seated promptly. The garlic knots were very tasty. We weren't waiting long for the main course and let me tell you, the spaghetti & meatballs was the best I've had. All of the staff was very friendly and we never had to wait long. We all loved our food and to top it off the owner stopped by and checked up on us and noticed that my Mother's plate had some oil and sauce left over and offered a bowl of bread to clean up the leftovers. She was so kind! It was a fantastic experience and the food is wonderful!Highly recommend!

Absolutely Amazing !!!! Laura and her crew are "On Top Of It". The pasta and pizzas are authentic and makes you feel like you are in the Middle of Milano. The desserts are superior!! Always trust their wine selection. They never go wrong. Our waiter Jimmy was great and Dargen was Very nice too. Eddie is also the Best! Can't wait to go back!!! Carmen and Ryan

A lot of people said this place was good so I figured that I would give it a try and the wait was over 45 minutes and that's not because they were busy. It's because they were understaffed and the place is very small. We did so down eventually and ate pizza and it did not taste that good for what the reviews say/price reflection will not go here again save your time.

Not sure what happened to their pizza, but it used to be sooo good. Yesterday was our second disappointing experience. Pricey and no good.

We had a lovely [wink] pre-Valentine's day dinner at La Pizzeria. We decided to go the day before V-Day to enjoy a shorter wait (about 15 minutes), fewer people, and better service. The host remembered our name from seating to exit (impressive!) and Sasha (server) was warm and attentive. We started out with the caprese salad and mozz sticks. We loved the Italian dressing so much we ordered an additional dressing "sidecar." Both of LP's entrees were a hit. The chicken parm was solid, served with penne, and had a sweet(er) sauce. The ravioli special was creamy and perfectly cooked al dente. Rather than the traditional Italian dessert, we ordered the moist chocolate cake and (you guessed it) loved it. Our main feedback would be to 1) have real (tearable) bread (versus little "croutonesque" pieces) and 2) to ask us/patrons before removing plates; we were dunking our bread in some extra sauces and dressings, blinked, and all the dippers were suddenly cleared. Yes, we shouted to get the young lady's attention (another server) but she was so quick to grab the dishes, already had her back turned towards us, and was sprinting away. Further, we were charged for two extra dressings even though the second (cleared) one was full/untouched. In general, we (and we suspect most LP patrons) like to feel welcome, *unrushed, and addressed directly (eye contact) when making any/all decisions.
