Locals Raw - Seafood & Raw Bar

Locals Raw is one of my favorite places in Mt Pleasant! 1/2 price oysters for happy hour, all you can eat crab legs on Tuesdays and Sunday brunches are fantastic. Chef Brian is amazing and Manager Paul is top notch. The owners of this place did it right. Oh and of course they have all my favorite drinks! If you haven’t tried it yet, make sure you do! They also have live music and a great patio that is dog friendly!

Wow, what a great experience at the newer Locals Raw. My friend and I went for the 1st night of All-you-can-eat crab legs. It was so organized and an overall good time. Amanda and Paul were fantastic. We met the owner, several f9lks that were instrumental in helping opening Locals Raw and made some new friends. What a wonderful experience.

Their first night of all you can eat crabs was fantastic, the staff hustled buckets and never made you wait. Awesome job by all. Thank you.

The food was sooo good and the service was even better! Super excited to have this restaurant just a golf cart ride away. We had Brooke and she was super attentive and friendly! I’m obsessed with oysters and these were some of the best I’ve ever had in Charleston and I’ve had a lot! Definitely recommend coming here. They even had live music!

We had no idea what to expect, and were pleasantly surprised at how cute the restaurant is, how great the food was, how kind the staff was, and the great happy hour specials. Non-stop refills on AYCE Crab Legs. They have just the right amount of seasoning and endless butter! Hush puppies and honey butter were delicious! Try the Bloody Mary special… dill pickle vodka and a house special Bloody Mary mix. Delicious! Thank you Amanda & Paul for your wonderful service! Can’t wait to bring our kids, and friends, next time!

Love this new restaurant. Great atmosphere and fun outdoor patio with live music most nights. The food was good and our server, Chance, was wonderful.

Once upon arrival we were greeted by a very welcoming young man named Parker. We have been in the business for over 30 yrs and would love to have people like him greeting our guests. Morgan was a wonderful sever and knew her menu very well. Her recommendations were spot on. She was a little busy but took time to listen to me ramble on about how great the oysters were. Morgan was full of energy and made sure we were well taken care of. Wife had mussels (incredible) and poke dip(more incredible) The thing that impressed me the most was the fact that on a slow night Paul the GM touched our table (restaurant lingo) 20 minutes into our dinner to check on us. Had a great conversation with him at the end of dinner as well. The restaurant is in a small strip mall but don't let that fool you. Ya want fresh seafood. Great service and people who genuinely care about your experience GO. 10 stars if I could give it. Wonderful experience. Will be back for sure. KUDOS GUYS!!!

Brussel Sprouts appetizer was missing something. Flavor wasn’t bad just lacking flavor.Fish Tacos had zero flavor. Tasted like eating just the flour tortilla. Even adding hot sauce still didn’t make them taste like anything. Only ate 1/2 of one of them.On a positive note the shrimp and grits are very good.

This is establishment is fairly new, nice location, friendly staff. Locals is known for their sushi, however this location do not have a sushi bar. They concentration is the raw bar. The mussels and The oysters were delicious, salty and fresh. The liberation selection is good. Tried a new selection on the menu, the tuna spring roll and it was great. Over all this is a great restaurant.

To be shocked that Local's could pull off another great restaurant is an understatement! Im not only shocked but delighted at this new twist! The food was exceptional. I didn't think they could outdo their sushi. I was wrong. Run, don't walk. Cool outdoor area is also a plus!

Love this new spot from Locals! Great for a date night or just getting something really tasty after a long day. Excellent menu & drinks. One of my new favorite spots for sure.

I get it! Second day open and it's a brand new restaurant. Server was decent, definitely the worst tacos I've ever had and five days later still feel sick. Not sure if it was food poisoning or what. Not good! Good oysters and the most bland fish tacos ever! We spoke to the manager and he said he thought the tacos were good the day before. Lol! Kind of still blown away at this experience. He didn't offer to take the tacos off the bill and went back to the host stand while the staff congregated and pointed fingers at us. My girlfriend had to go to the stand to ask why they were pointing fingers at us and to take the tacos off of the bill. I hope this place makes it and I know it takes a few months. Please get it together. This neighborhood was hoping you would be great! Cheers!

Locals Raw was delicious. The oysters and grilled mahi were prepared to perfection. The atmosphere was nice and our server did everything she could to ensure we had a nice experience. Also, if you have the chance to try the local ice cream, be sure you do- it’s amazing!

We waited for over 15 minutes to even get our drink order taken, then 27 further minutes still with no drinks being brought while we watched to bartenders stand around doing nothing and our waiter standing at the bar eating the cocktail garnishes. When we asked about the delay, our waiter said he was waiting on the bar. Did I mention the bartenders were standing around doing nothing? We left after 47 minutes. Still no service. Worst restaurant experience ever. There were plenty of young employees all standing around doing very little. Other diners also not getting much service.

We love this place! Two days in a row. We want to try everything!
