The hostess greeted us with a smile as did our waitress and it was us that left with a smile even broader. They recommended the fried shrimp risotto to start and this began a wonderful dining experience. The “A too fee” was perfectly spiced and the shrimp/crawfish Alfredo was both delicious and plentiful. Best meal we had in our week in Charleston area. Can not recommend LoLa more highly especially if you enjoy a taste of low country cuisine

We ordered to go, as it opened at 4pm and the kids were already exhausted. Never really had authentic southern food. Jambalaya was good. Really enjoyed the po boy sandwhich. Good for us who wanted a seafood only meal because we have a strict halal diet. They make it to order so it was fresh. And filled our vegetarian need. The lady was so nice to my toddler even gave crayons and a necklace. Solid meal.

I had to correct a previous mistake—this place absolutely deserves five stars! We found this place while driving in the area and were so glad we stopped. The food and service were great!

The menu has some true showstoppers. The Shrimp Risotto Cake was one of the best things on the menu—I honestly could have had a few! The Classic Caesar Orleans was clearly made from scratch and had a wonderful, fresh flavor.

We also tried the Etouffee, which had great, authentic flavor. My fiancé found it a little spicy, but I thoroughly enjoyed the layers of flavor. While the Classic Jambalaya wasn't quite for us and we sent it back, everything else was so delicious and the overall experience so positive that it wasn't a big deal.

Worth checking out when in the area.

Don't normally order shimp and grits at a restaurant. Make my own at home. Tried theirs anyway. They were fantastic. The brown sauce really made them great.

Really great food, some of the best crawfish etouffee I have eaten. It was rich, thick and full of crawfish. I also had a cup of the seafood gumbo. The rue was perfect, the ingredients were delicious, and they did not add the oyster until just before serving. So it cooked some but was not over cooked. Highly recommended.

LoLa’s was a fantastic find us! The entire experience was made special by everyone, the hostess, bar staff, and waitress, Kayla, who was incredibly attentive and thoughtful. She not only took great care of our table but also gave us wonderful, genuine recommendations for exploring Downtown Charleston.❤️ Beyond the stellar service and vibrant atmosphere, the food was truly the highlight! 😊I ordered the Swordfish and Ratatouille special, and it was absolutely amazing—fresh, flavorful, and perfectly prepared. My husband ordered the Redfish with Dirty Rice and Collard Greens. Absolutely delicious! LoLa’s is a must-visit!

Holy cow, this place serves killer southern seafood dishes. We decided to stop in on our vacation and the meal ended up being one of the best of our trip across Charleston and Savannah. Delicious shrimp and crab cakes. Great, friendly service too.

Wonderful service! Wonderful food! We had the captains platter with Gator bites and crawfish which were so tender. The fries were absolutely delish and the cornbread was to die for. 10/10 recommended!
