Always have a good time at Mainland. On the most recent visit, it was pretty crowded and they may have been understaffed so service was a little slow. But service staff was very friendly and helpful.I ordered the grouper bites which were ok. Not a fan of the breading/batter they used but the fish was good and great sauce to accommodate.They usually have some live music on the weekends and the outdoor space is where it’s all at! Usually they have decent amount of seating unless it’s an oyster roast day.The best part is the dogs love it.

Went to hear live music outside from local musicians, calling themselves "Sons of Pitches". It was a beautiful night. There's an outside bar on ground level. Parking is plentiful on gravel lot. Restrooms upstairs in restaurant proper, no elevator.

A serene Sunday afternoon and the experience was nothing short of delightful. The perfect place to Whileaway a lazy Sunday afternoon.The wings and tater tots which were great.Our waitress, Jordan, was fantastic—friendly, attentive, and made our visit all the more enjoyable with her excellent service.This place encapsulates a perfect Sunday afternoon outing with good food, great service, and a relaxed atmosphere. The Mainland Container Co. has etched a sweet spot in our hearts and we can't wait to return. Five stars well-deserved!

I hate to make this review because we have been wanting to stop at Mainland Container every time we go to Sullivans… stopped this time and we were very disappointed. We were told to seat ourselves and a serve would be right with us. Waited 10 minutes and had to go to the bar to get drinks. Then had to flag a server. Put in food… enjoyed a beer. Music was good, but very loud. Hard to talked with my friends. 25ish minutes later… still don’t have food. The server asked how our food was and we were like…. Well we haven’t gotten it yet. So waited another 10 min. Finally got food. The sliders were decent but cold. The tots were cold and nothing special (said they were duck fat). French dip was fine. A pricey meal for bad service and a loud restaurant. And the bathroom… no toilet paper, soap or paper towels. Overall bad experience and unfortunately will not be back.

Went for a nightcap after a long day of traveling.Great ambience, open air with big fan. Local guitarist singing classic 70s. Nice way to end the day.
I want to like this place... Great location, nice outdoor seating and food is decent. However, service the last couple of times I've been here has been spotty at best (long wait to be served and to get food and drinks) and I can't get over how filthy the bathrooms and the inside section of the restaurant are. Just reminds me of Anthony Bourdain's famous guidance about how he wouldn't eat in restaurants with dirty bathrooms.

This spot is unique for outdoor seating under the trees to have a few beers and especially when they have live music! The food is okay, but nothing to rave about. The Southern chicken sandwich was okay, but not a wonderful experience.

I want to like this place... Great location, nice outdoor seating and food is decent.
