Mario's Peruvian Chicken

I was craving Viva Chicken, which is a delicious Peruvian chicken chain in Charlotte NC. Mario’s was spot on! Delicious food!! Very happy with this place and will go back again and again. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I paid extra for the Peruvian rice, but this is all I got for almost $30 including a 20% tip for to go... now it is too far go back and get it corrected.

First time visiting this restaurant and very disappointed about the attitude of the male cashier.
I was trying to place my order and I asked for the sauces of the salchipapas on the side because not everyone likes Rocoto or aji amarillo sauce, specially kids!
The guy started mumbling nasty words, shaking his head of frustration towards me.
Excuse me, I AM THE CUSTOMER and you should have more respect for my choices because I AM PAYING FOR IT!
I will never return to this dumpster again!

This was my first time trying Mario’s. I was so excited they had Arroz Chaufa and I added chicken. They made it quickly and you get a good amount for the price.

But I’m really disappointed in the rice. It barely has any flavor. The chicken tastes great. The rice taste like white rice cooked in chicken or beef broth. It’s definitely lighter in color than pics in reviews. I’m hoping it’s a one off.

I used to love this place but they have messed up my order too many times. This time they forgot to include the sauces with the chicken. Which is honestly a very important part of the meal for me. I got all the way home before I realized. I called them and they said there was nothing they could do. Not the first time they have left off items or mixed up items on my order.

Decided to try this restaurant while vacationing and staying at a hotel within walking distance. So delicious! It was our first time trying Peruvian food and it was a hit for us all (including two preschoolers). A whole chicken with 3 sides was plenty for our family of 2 adults, 2 kids.

If there was negative numbers I will add them I been in several real Peruvian chicken places were they don’t charge up the butt and the sides orders allways included plantains etc this place really should consider prices and orders NOTE PlEASE IF YOU WANT TO BE RIPPED OFF I Suggest go to this fake Peruvian place

Delicious well-seasoned half chicken, huge and crispy yucca fries, lots of coleslaw, all for $16.50! Great portion for the price and easy to share

Mario’s Peruvian Chicken is a hidden gem in Mount Pleasant! I had the 1/4 chicken with coleslaw and yuca root fries, and everything was absolutely delicious. The chicken was perfectly seasoned and juicy, with that signature Peruvian flavor that’s hard to beat. The coleslaw was crisp and refreshing, and the yuca fries—wow—crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, and seriously addictive. The staff was friendly, and the service was quick. If you’re looking for bold flavors and a great meal, Mario’s is the spot!
