I had their brisket cheese Burger with sweet potato. It was very good.
Everything had a balanced taste.

Food was awesome. The service wasn't there, no smiles, honestly it looked like the people working didn't even want to be there. Whether that's true or not. What i got from the energy in the restaurant.

Wow! Nothing bad to say here... the burgers are the best, hands down! The staff is friendly and the place is clean. Did I mention that they have the best burgers? Because, WOW!

Oh my gosh!! This place has the BEST BBQ. This was a last minute choice, I had my heart on seafood tonight, but since my dog was having a fit at the hotel I had to go back. My husband went here to bring us dinner back to eat….one word YUMMY!! The portions are huge and plentiful. I know one thing for sure, we will back when we visit Charleston. Tonya..from Greer SC

Good barbecue order at the counter and it's brought to your table I would say the place was really good my only sad spot was they were out of one of their sauces which I consider their best red sauce. Not sure how a barbecue place could be out of barbecue sauce? But I will be back

Counted on this place for many years. It’s pricey for what it is but it’s always been worth it. Concerned it’s slipping after recent visit. Opened takeout to find the fry basket much smaller and the onion ring about half its normal size. My bbq platter came with a piece of sunbeam bread instead of the cornbread I was expecting. Bbq was drowning in sauce . . . Also not what i was expecting.
Please, Melvins, don’t go the way of so many other local restaurants and cheap out on me while raising prices at the same time. I love this place. Please don’t suck.

I've been living here a few years and I just discovered that Melvin's has the best hamburgers here in Mt Pleasant. I don't eat barbeque so I can't tell you about that.

I live in Oklahoma and grew up in Texas, LET ME TELL YOU....the brisket, okra, baby butter beans and collards are the best I have tasted in my 57 yrs on this earth; besides my brother's!

Drive thru is a joke - 20-30 minutes for 2 sandwiches. Every time I go I forget how slow they are. Never again.
The food is tasty, but NOT WORTH THE WAIT!!!
If they cannot do reasonable service, how about not having a drive thru.
This was at 1 pm on a weekday
