I just picked up an order my husband placed here. He’s excited he found a place to get certain cuts but he’ll have to come get them himself moving forward. The staff were curt and off putting. When I asked about the rewards program emblazoned on the monitor in front of me it was as though I inconvenienced him by asking a question. He shortly said “it’s a personal thing, I have no idea”
Maybe you should since you work here.
I recently visited New York Butcher Shop, hoping to pick up some steaks, and asked if they carried sirloin. One of the workers behind the counter immediately dismissed it, saying they didn’t carry sirloin because they focus on higher quality cuts, implying that sirloin was tougher and not as good as other meats. I found this comment unnecessary and snobbish. It’s one thing to prefer certain cuts, but to belittle a customer's choice of meat was off-putting. Not to mention, they sell burgers and sausages, which are generally considered lower-quality cuts. I’ve bought sirloin from every other butcher shop and it's the only cut I enjoy. I’m willing to spend good money on it. Everyone has their own preferences when it comes to food, and a business should respect that rather than mock it. I won’t be returning after this experience.
The best meat selection in town & best customer service; amazing people! From jam, to meats, to sides, eggs/ milk, etc; it’s a one stop shop with the best of everything!
Excellent options and service as always!
We live 5 min away from the north Mount p location but we love the drive to IOP so we always go to IOP. It’s Memorial Day weekend & we didn’t want to fight the traffic to IOP so we decided to go to the MTP location for some fat trimmings - got there right when they opened, the guys were super nice and helped us quickly even though it was already really busy. Cannot say enough great things about NY Butcher. Will shop more @ north MTP because of the guys there. Thanks!
Quality products and excellent service every time we visit!
Stopped in while visiting from New York. Their meats were exceptional. We ate their pork chops for dinner that night. The only issue: The awkwardness of tipping. Now I’ll never hesitate to tip 20% when served at a restaurant; a bar; or even a coffee shop when ordering something other than a black coffee. However, being presented with the tip screen while spending $115 on pork chops out of the display case in a butcher shop is a little awkward.
A M A Z I N G!the best customer service and quality meat! Finally found a butcher and store to recommend!
What a great experience! Every question I asked was answered knowledgeably and with a smile by the tall gentleman with long hair and glasses. That guy knows his way around some meat! After taking it home and cooking it….. boy oh boy.. what quality.. my new place to get steaks for sure.
They really took care of me when getting bones for my rescue! 5 star experience and the carried them to the car for me!! And I was pleasantly surprised at how much they had to offer in the store

Love their weekly specials - excellent quality. Get it out of their refrigerator, add a salad and fresh bread. Only big disappointment was their adding a “tip” feature to the checkout. I do this all myself, just like at Publix or Harris Teeter. It’s asking a lot, in todays economy, to tip a checkout person. Circle K, etc.. yesterday my “suggested tip” was $10 on a $40 takeout order. Really??? They just lost a long-time customer.

They lost my business forever!I have been a patron here for over 8 years because of the quality and service. But I will not be returning after my last experience….I arrived just after 5pm on a Wednesday evening. I browsed the case and nothing stood out. However there was an uncut Prime Bone-in ribeye in the case…I asked for 2x 1.25lb steaks. The butcher looked at me disgusted, asking if I wanted a huge tomahawk. I said, no just 2 regular bone in rib-eyes. He said he already cleaned the saw and refused to cut us our requested cuts….They were not getting ready to close…This is a custom expensive prime butcher shop that refused to cut meat!!Horrible service, terrible attitudes by the butcher and staff. You have lost my business forever. Publix would have cut my steaks for me any time of the day for half the price!!
I got a job here, but too many lamb chops went missing! The bacons so good, it's kosher!
Best steaks in town hands down! Their pre made meals are awesome too. Spend the extra bucks and get a wagyu ribeye. Highly recommend! Thanks again guys!
