Although I have never stayed at one of the PH rooms, I have dined there a number of times since they’ve been open. Each time has been such a memorable experience. Staff always goes above and beyond to make you feel welcome, at home, and catered to. The environment of PH (both indoor and outdoor) is immaculate. PH is curated with beautiful southern decor which makes you feel right at home in The Old Village. But I have to say, I experience just as good of hospitality at their Basic Kitchen location. Basic Projects seemingly always go the extra mile in training their staff to deliver the true southern experience. I cannot recommend this restaurant enough to anyone local or visiting Charleston.Nearby activities: Walking distance of Old VillageSafety: In safe Mt. Pleasant, Old Village neighborhood.Walkability: Walkable to Shem Creek.Food & drinks: Clean and upscale eats.Noteworthy details: Curated southern decor.

Ate in the restaurant, service was fantastic at the bar with Aki and Lane. Drink knowledge and mix was top notch, food was really good from kitchen. Ate at bar cause tables were booked up, loved this place. It's close to some happening places in a quaint neighborhood so walking after eating was perfect ?

Whatever you do - do not pass on this spot on your next trip to CHS. The charm of this place pulls you in from the moment you pull up, and it just gets better and better as you enter the restaurant and inn. The Aperol Spritz was yummy, but the Gin & Tonic (not pictured) was the best I’ve ever had (if you’re reading this High Wire — please sell that Two If By Sea Gin). Our table enjoyed mussels, tuna, pasta, chicken, clams and the fish of the day and everything was delicious. I cannot wait to come back, and hopefully stay at the inn next time!

Delicious food & drinks! Love the ambiance of The Post House. My girl friend & I walked in and wound up sitting immediately at the bar. It was cozy & fun. I had a Cosmo & tuna tartar, she had a spritzer & shrimp skewers. The bartenders were cool & we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves!

We selected “birthday” on Resy as we are celebrating one, but we did not expect anything nor did we ask for anything. They brought out a cookie with a candle, and then we get the bill, and we are charged $5 for the cookie that we never ordered or asked for…. Kind of weird.

My daughter and I dined at Post House yesterday and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves! The food and atmosphere were absolutely wonderful. Our personal favorite was the roasted cauliflower avocado salad and the ahi poke bowl. To top it all off, we had the kindest, friendliest and most attentive server, Nasser! We both agreed that Nasser was the best server we encountered during our 4 days in Charleston!
Divine lunch. Sit in the patio with a +1 or 2 , order a spritz or black coffee- split the cheese appetizer , order the butter bean burger (ask for it open face on toast or baguette), the poke bowl, or the tuna belly melt (add a bit of hot sauce to it).The host was horrible— completely unappetizing and non-verbal. Short haired woman: you need a back of house role.

My wife and I stayed here on our wedding night - what a special place. We were greeted with Champagne and were so well taken care of. Now we return every year for our anniversary and frequently indulge on their amazing brunch options during the year.

Second time we’ve eaten at the Post House for Valentine’s Day. What a treat!
