Food was okay, but not worth the money. We were really disappointed with the whole experience. Website offered free valet parking - nope, no one was there to park your car. We had to walk two blocks. Sent a note when we made the reservation that it was our 19th anniversary, no one said anything. We had to ask what the market fish was. Drink from bar had to be sent back. Just not a great meal or experience from a restaurant that was on our “must go” list.
My wife and I celebrated our 30th wedding anniversary at Red Drum. The staff made our dining experience special by acknowledging the occasion with a glass of complimentary champagne. The food & service is always outstanding at this restaurant.
The food was good and our server Hugh was nice enough throughout the meal but when it came time to check out it was a disaster. We asked him to separate the check and it was obvious he didn't want to do it but agreed. He never asked in the first place and if I had known would have immediately said separate. We had 10 people but only 4 checks. He claimed he didn't know if he could do it. What he didn't know is he had 3 former servers and a former general manager of a restaurant at this table. We knew better. When he finally brought back the checks everything was a mess. Nothing was where it was supposed to be and it was obvious to us it was deliberate. When we told him we would just pay because he completely messed that up, he laughed like he knew and didn't care. He's lucky we had the ability to do that since it was a $1,000 check. Towards the end of the meal when I went to the restroom he also just came and took my food to the kitchen. My party was chatting so they didn't realize. I wanted a to go container but again, he never bothered to ask and took almost a full meal to dump. I can't eat a lot all at once so definitely wanted to take it home. What's sad about this even more is since many of us have had a restaurant background we would have tipped more than the gratuity. Sadly he missed out because of his disregard and clearly his need to get out of there. I don't normally leave a review but this shouldn't happen to anyone else. I'm adding another piece to this. Now that our friends have split this check we also got charged a “support” fee. I'm not even sure what that is but it sounds ridiculous. Needless to say we won't be coming back to Red Drum.
Really nice environment, especially the smaller dining room with the fireplace. Good food and service impeccable. Unfortunately, the noise level was so loud it took away the pleasure of the event. We couldn't hear our own conversation because a large group was next to us. Strongly suggest booking celebratory parties together in the larger dining room where the space can help the acoustics.
We always have a great time at red drum. The food is predictable and high-quality. Great local spot.
This restaurant is an absolute gem. Both the service and food were fantastic. It's a little loud, but I didn't mind the noise.
Our food was very good with a nice selection and fantastic desserts. Had a great Old Fashioned to go along with a nice dinner. On the down side, the total cost of the bill was much higher than what I would expect for a Mt Pleasant dining experience. Total for 5 of us without selecting higher priced items on the menu was $325 so it is not priced as a place to "drop in on", at least for my family1
Everything was great, the food, the service, and the ambiance. Thank you. Morgan was wonderful!!!!
We had a lovely dinner with friends. Our drinks were fabulous and the food was good. My husband got the special( wahoo) and it was overcooked. Otherwise, it was great. Our waiter Allen was fantastic!
Red Drum is always a good choice! Consistently great food and service, it's our go to for special occasions. Local!!

Food took over an hour to arrive. Server was ok seemed annoyed when we wanted the steak cooked more it was very rare.
We were in the area for a concert at Credit One Stadium. Found this restaurant on Open Table. Food and service were excellent! We ordered the chips and guacamole which was amazing. I had the filet mignon which was cooked perfectly and my husband got the scallops. We would definitely go back if in the area again.
Steaks are excellent. Wines by the glass are great and the service is so professional and attentive. Excellent all around.
We had a wonderful dinner and cocktails. Katie (hope I spelled it correct) was absolutely amazing. We will be returning and of coarse requesting Katie.
Great food and service. Music too loud (for me)…..makes conversation difficult
