We always have a great time at red drum. The food is predictable and high-quality. Great local spot.
This restaurant is an absolute gem. Both the service and food were fantastic. It's a little loud, but I didn't mind the noise.
Our food was very good with a nice selection and fantastic desserts. Had a great Old Fashioned to go along with a nice dinner. On the down side, the total cost of the bill was much higher than what I would expect for a Mt Pleasant dining experience. Total for 5 of us without selecting higher priced items on the menu was $325 so it is not priced as a place to "drop in on", at least for my family1
Everything was great, the food, the service, and the ambiance. Thank you. Morgan was wonderful!!!!
We had a lovely dinner with friends. Our drinks were fabulous and the food was good. My husband got the special( wahoo) and it was overcooked. Otherwise, it was great. Our waiter Allen was fantastic!
Red Drum is always a good choice! Consistently great food and service, it's our go to for special occasions. Local!!
Food took over an hour to arrive. Server was ok seemed annoyed when we wanted the steak cooked more it was very rare.
We were in the area for a concert at Credit One Stadium. Found this restaurant on Open Table. Food and service were excellent! We ordered the chips and guacamole which was amazing. I had the filet mignon which was cooked perfectly and my husband got the scallops. We would definitely go back if in the area again.
Steaks are excellent. Wines by the glass are great and the service is so professional and attentive. Excellent all around.
We had a wonderful dinner and cocktails. Katie (hope I spelled it correct) was absolutely amazing. We will be returning and of coarse requesting Katie.

Great food and service. Music too loud (for me)…..makes conversation difficult

Got seated in the back room which has a plaster domed ceiling that radiates sound. There was what it seemed like a private party back there with 8-10 adults. We couldn’t hear each other and asked the waitress to repeat herself a few times. By the time our food came I told the trainee server that I didn’t expect to be moved, but that for feedback we can’t even hear ourselves talk or think. She smiled and said ok. At no point was this ever addressed by the trainer or mgmt. After leaving a tip anyway for a near $300 bill for 4, I mentioned again to the trainee when we left that this was one of the worst dining experiences I’d ever had. My ears were literally ringing and the restaurant main room seemed to be whispering compared to the noise we’d just sat through dinner in. She smiled and said I’m sorry to hear that. I walked out to a near empty restaurant as well. Clearly, there were other tables that could have been offered. We probably would have had another drink and dessert had we been offered to move.
An acknowledgement from someone at this place as a follow up would have done the trick. Sometimes when things can’t be changed, all it takes is some acknowledgment from the staff other than a huge smile and “ok” is all that’s needed.
Twice they had the chance to say, “let me find a manager for you,” or, “ I realize this was not the best seating arrangement, but when a table opens up I’ll come and check in to see if you would like to move.” Effort, acknowledgment, that’s it! We are in Charleston a couple more nights, we love to frequent back places we like. The food was average, nothing special for $300 and definitely not for the dining experience we had.

Had a terrific dinner at the Red Drum. It has an interesting and varied menu. Everything is scratch made and the dishes we had, although mundane, were delicious! Our server, Katie H., was outstanding. Attentive, but not overly so, accommodating, pleasant, and efficient.
We started with the chips and salsa. This comes with both a red and a green salsa. Both were so good we took whatever we had left home. They were tasty, tangy, and spicy.
I had the wood grilled cheeseburger with sweet potato fries. I asked for it grilled medium well and it was perfect. It comes with lettuce, tomato, and onion. It was as good as the picture looks. My wife had the grilled chicken salad. I didn't have any, but she said it was excellent (and she's very trustworthy). Oh, and I had an Espresso Martini, also delicious. A little pricey at $80 (not including tax and tip), but considering we had an appetizer and a drink along with the quality of the food and the great service, I think worth it.

Very expensive, extremely loud. Spent almost $100 for a steak salad, an appetizer, and 1 alcoholic drink. 😬
Food was okay, but not worth that much.
