The quality of the food is mixed. I had the hot wings and poke bowl. The wings were amazing, wonderful crunch, evenly cooked, juicy, and flavorful. The poke bowl on the other hand... The avocado was actually guacamole which is not typical for a poke bowl at all. The portion of ginger was way too large, fish didn't taste fresh, and THE RICE WAS UNDERCOOKED. I could tell they didn't rinse the rice (powdery feel) AND the rice was hard from being undercooked. If a restaurant can't even cook rice properly, what else might they be doing wrong???
First time visiting after getting a ton of recommendations. Bartender was super friendly and the bar bites were fresh and delicious. Very chill and relaxed environment.
The atmosphere was relaxed and laid back, with available tables and prompt service. It's a nice place to hang out and have a couple of drinks, but the food is definitely not worth the money. It is NOT fresh and it is overly spiced, with lots of salt and black pepper on it.
Always a “real good time!” Check out the crows nest for a beautiful view
What a fun, easy-goin’ spot with that good ol’ Southern breeze rollin’ in! We popped in for lunch and everything was spot-on—service with a smile and food that’ll make you wanna holler. Do yourself a favor and try that Red’s rocking crab dip—it’s creamy, dreamy, and packed with flavor. The whole place sits right on the water, just perfect for soakin’ in the view. Now, fair warnin’—parkin’ might take a spell, especially if you’re like us and came in by boat. But it’s worth every minute.
Food was really good. Had the crab cakes and sampled fried oysters. Prices are really reasonable for the area.
So fun! Such a staple!
Good reasonably priced food that should you be lucky enough to get a table by the water is worth double what we paid. Cheap beers in the sun watching dolphins swim by at sunset, it doesn’t get any better.
My first night in Charleston with my pup. This place is the best puppy bar ever! Food was great Bartenders AMAZING
We love a good “local beach bar atmosphere” restaurant and Red’s hit the nail on the head! We sat and drank spicy prickly pear margs while watching the dolphins & boats on Shem creek. The food was wonderful!! We ate there twice in 2 days 😂 we got the coconut shrimp appetizer, BBQ Tuna appetizer, and a Pimento Burger both times. We will 1000% be back if we’re in town again. We actually tried to go again on Saturday night after a wedding and it was so crowded or we would’ve gone 3 times in 2 days.

Reds is a decent place to eat. It's always packed and waterfront seating is available but very hard to come by on most days. The food used to be amazing but it definitely has gone done in quality over the last few years. My family and I only go here if we want to grab a few appetizers and enjoy being outside.
We are there with a large group. Service was good! The food was delicious! The lowcounty boil was fantastic!
Loved the outside seating! The jalapeño hushpuppies were very yummy!!
November place right on the water
We were visiting from Nevada and chose Red's based on reviews and the menu posted online. We quickly learned that the area is extremely popular with multiple restaurants in the same area and parking is not free. Be prepared to pay $7.57/hour. A smartphone is also required and the ability to scan and pay.
Red's has a positive vibe. We found a space at the Tiki Bar and had excellent service while waiting for our table. I had the original Margarita and it underwhelmed me. I decided to try the Margarita with the Grand Marnier float and it was much more impressive and full of flavor.
We were surprised to get a table sooner than the estimated time. Service was good. The Bacon Wrapped Scallops with BBQ sauce were awesome! The burger was overcooked and frys were just ok. The Crab Cqkes were excellent and as described but the Carolina slaw was replaced with boring, bland, boiled potatoes. The corn was mushy and overcooked but were a side dish and the not the focus of the meal.
We will tell our friends and family and will definitely return if visiting the area again.
