This seafood restaurant, located on Shem Creek in Mt Pleasant serves fish shellfish and others seafood delights. Outdoor seating and great views. Looks and feels a bit like a honky tonk bar. Friendly service. A bit petty, but they charge fifty cents if you want an extra cocktail sauce.

After briefly overlooking the menu and seeing several items we’d like we decided to give it a try. Mistake!!! Service wasn’t bad but food definitely was. Out of a party of five only item we all agreed was good was the crab cakes. Everything was awful unfortunately. Figured it’s a staple on sheem creek and had higher expectations for it.

I’ve been coming to Red’s in Charleston for years, but unfortunately it keeps going downhill. On my most recent visit, we waited over 30 minutes at the outside bar and not a single server ever came by. No greeting, no water, nothing. We eventually just left. Really disappointing to see a place that used to be a favorite decline this much.

We went here for an evening out and the waterfront location was an awesome atmosphere.
Love Reds and visit often. Atmosphere and views are great Food is pretty good. Wish they offered a regular coleslaw, not just jalapeño. One member of our party had the Lowcountry boil and it was mostly potatoes that were undercooked. Just some inconsistencies that could be improved.

Love Red’s. Great smoked wings and grouper sandwich today. Drink a beer and watch boats and dolphins. Buckets with floaters are ideal.
Go on a great weather day and sit by the creek or up on the deck.

We stumbled on this place when we were visiting Shem Boardwalk… Loved the food… Had the grouper sandwich. Grilled shrimp. French fries were delicious. The pineapple jalapeño coleslaw was great. The atmosphere was fabulous busy and the service was magnificent.
