Ruby’s New York Style Bagels

The only Bagel shop that has lightly salted Rosemary bagel. They are terrific!

I have only ordered from Ruby's twice ever and both were with DoorDash or Uber and BOTH times I ordered a bacon, egg and cheese bagel (simple enough right?) and BOTH times they forget the bacon.. UGH

I've been to all the Ruby's and the N. Mount pleasant is the best!!!! Great food and great service. Lexy, Heather and Austin will make you smile and they create an amazing atmosphere! I recommend this place without any reservations.

The bagels are fantastic, the customer service, not so much. I ordered 9 bagels and two containers of veggie cream cheese online for pickup. I arrived to pick up my order and the bag was stapled shut so confirmed the cream cheese was in there with the cashier and she insisted it was. Got home to my hungry guests, opened the bag and there was no cream cheese. At $17 for two containers, I immediately called and was told by the woman on the phone that she put my order together and was the one who gave it to me and insisted there was one container of cream cheese on top. I told her I was staring right at, as were my guests, and there was no cream cheese with my order. Not to mention she said there was one container, she saw it herself, even though I ordered two. She said she can refund me for one and I said I wanted to be refunded for both since I didn’t receive any and she hung up on me. Hoping we had just gotten disconnected somehow I called back, no answer, called back again, no answer. So my husband called from his phone and someone answered. They told him the cream cheese (again one, not two) was in the bag and they already refunded me for one. My husband assured them we did not receive any cream cheese and why would we call and lie about it?? They said they can’t do another refund on the same transaction but if we come in they’ll give us two containers of cream cheese. I believe the employee saw cream cheese in a bag, I’m not accusing her of lying like they did to us, but I don’t think it was my order she saw it in. So eventually we went back to the store, spoke to a manager who didn’t seem to care, didn’t apologize for the mixup and now we have two containers of cream cheese but it’s too late because everyone was hungry and ate their bagels before we got back. I don’t appreciate being accused of lying and trying to refund me for only half of what I was missing. Not at these prices.

LOL these PRICES are such a slap in the face. And people- even in bougie Mount P are getting tired of these yuppy little places popping up and charging $10 for a small coffee served with an attitude. Luckily these shiny dumpsters are usually gone after a couple years hopefully a Dunkin will doze this place soon

Visited the Mt Pleasant location. Staff was very friendly, food was on point. Had the “Rachel” on an everything bagel and it was one of the tastiest sandwiches I’ve eaten.

Somehow, in 6 months, the price of a bacon, egg and cheese has jumped $5. This, despite them opening (or starting to open) 1-2 new stores in that time. I mean, $17 for a breakfast sandwich is ridiculous. I cpuld buy all the ingredients and make multiple better sandwiches for that price. Additionally, since inception in November 2022, the quality of their food has gone down. So lower quality for a higher price? Yeah, seems about right for capitalist america.

Having been a fan since they opened, its sad to see how they've sacrificed their quality/price ratio in favor of relentless expansion.
