Food was good , service however sucked. The lady who helped me and my husband wasn’t friendly at all, we both felt it. She also ignored twice the fact that we wanted a take out not a sit in. Service means a lot to clients especially when they are expected to give large tips nowadays, but for some reason some employees or owners think it’s an obligation and they don’t need to earn it… very sad

3 visits. 1st great. 2nd fair. 3rd terrible! Coffee & staff fine. 3 puff pastries, flat & undercooked! Not fit for sale! Ate only because we were hungry and did not want our $40 go to waste! Told the waitress and cook. Nice people but did not offer to reimburse us for the pastries! Might be our last visit. Do not mind the price if the quality is there!

Unfortunately, even though the pastry section is very tempting and quite popular, the service is pretty poor — chaotic and inattentive. Every time we visit, there’s always some issue with the orders.

The staff isn’t particularly friendly; they mostly just seem confused.

The coffee often has a burnt aftertaste.

I see that there are some complaints but every time I’ve gotten takeout, the service and food have been pretty stellar. Today they were having some technical issues and rather than turn us away, they put the order through and I will go back and pay later! The Croque Croissant is my go-to. It’s indulgent but not too rich. Ham and Swiss with bechamel on a croissant is sometimes just the perfect thing.

Best coffee on isle of palms hands down!! And I’m a coffee snob… pastries are to die for- especially the almond croissant.. 😊. Whole family enjoyed their dining experience… no complaints from anyone- and the party was pretty big- 8 of us!! Great job 👏!! A Must

Awesome service! Great coffee and pastries. Just learned about their take out dinners made by a French chef!
Will be back for that for sure.

I’ve been coming to this place since 2016ish. Unfortunately the quality has dropped, the portions have shrunk, while the prices have skyrocketed. I asked for cinnamon powder in my latte and it would’ve been a 1.50 dollar upcharge??! That’s actually insane. The quiche used to come with some fruit and a small salad. Now you get a small quiche with 3 pieces of lettuce on the side. I really used to love this cafe :( but cannot stomach paying premium prices for the now mediocre food. Service is great!

It's sad to write this review, as we've been loyal customers for a long time. Our last visit felt like a completely different experience. The service was slow and unorganized—the cashier was even on her phone while taking our order. We noticed little things that added up, like chipped plates and dine-in drinks being served in to-go cups. The food was just okay, and the pastries, coffee, and smoothies were also very average. Although the staff were kind and did their best to fix a mistake with our order, the general lack of cleanliness and the drop in quality were concerning. Unfortunately, this isn't the place we remember, and we've decided not to come back.

Poor service. Felt like barista was passive and didn’t listen to my order. Overcharged my order with an additional drink. $30 for 2 coffees and 2 pastries. Disappointed as I visited this location 5 years ago, which was a very different experience.

Simply lovely. Friendly and attentive staff. Beautiful pastries and desserts. Quiche was tasty. But most importantly, properly prepared macaroons. Love love love.

BEWARE! Stopped in today for a late lunch and I have to say, incredibly disappointed! My bill was around $60 for two with tip included and got sick later this evening from the cured salmon panini. The ingredients are not fresh and the tomato bisque soup was so watery and tasteless. My stomach is so inflamed as I am writing this.
Not sure how this place got 5 star reviews??

I wish I could give negative stars — that’s how disappointing my experience was at this place. The service was honestly unacceptable. I wasn’t even greeted properly; my “Good morning” was completely ignored. They added cinnamon to my cappuccino (something I’ve never encountered before), and only offered to remake it after noticing I wasn’t drinking it.

When they finally remade it, they brought it in a to-go cup, even though I was dining in and had originally received a proper ceramic cup. To make matters worse, it was a large size, even though I had specifically ordered a small — I prefer a strong cappuccino, not a watered-down version that tastes like a latte.

We ended up leaving with our croissants, hoping to get a proper coffee elsewhere, but unfortunately we didn’t have enough time due to our schedule. So not only did we waste money, but also our time and morning — all because of poor service. I absolutely do not recommend this place. When we go out and spend our money, it’s to enjoy a good experience — not to be let down this badly.

Excellent croissants. Excellent sandwiches. Excellent crepes. I cannot comment on other food items as this is what I eat every time. It reminds me of my many trips to France. It's that good. The cafe around the corner is more highly rated and seems to be busier, but there is no comparison in terms of food quality.
