The item prices between my receipt and the menu were pretty different. Waffles were $4.75 each but was charged $7 each. Wouldn’t matter if it was higher, but don’t care for the shady business. NO thank you. Crepes were $11.50, was $14 on the receipt. Check my receipt yourselves compared to their menu. Staff was friendly food was pretty decent.

Wish I had read the reviews before going there.Yesterday we went about noon to have lunch. Bad decision.. I ordered a quiche & was told they didn't have any - no quiches whatsoever. So i ordered a salad instead. Well, they brought the wrong one. I took it up & told staff. It took awhile & they brought out the "right" one. The best part was the goat cheese on the toast points. The spinach only had one (1) cherry tomato sliced in half. For the price it was a pretty sad looking salad. Now onto my husband's sandwich - "London style" - which consisted of a cold Baggette, two (2) mediocre pieces of roast beef, a few "chips" of hard, dried parmeasan, a few pieces of lettuce & no aioli.. All served on a badly chipped plate. Went up to ask for mayonnaise. And was told they didn't have any mayonnaise. Seriously, no mayonnaise in a French restaurant!Drink selection - minimal number of ales, no evidence of wine, & several different bottles of water. .Pastries - meager selection of pastries in a large display case.. After the poor taste & presentation of our entrees, we can't speak to the "flavor".A pretty poor lunch for $40 & we wont be back.

I so badly want to support this small business over others. But they’ve got to find a way to better their supply availability or just stock more with each order. I’m always coming in for a baked good (because my coffee of preference is somewhere else), and they are usually out of it. Or, like today at 8am, they only had basic croissants and nothing else. It’s generally slow (20 minutes to get 1 sandwich with only 1 table in restaurant) so I can’t pick up as quickly when I’m out running errands. Hoping they work around these obstacles to optimize because competition is tough out there…and these details matter.

It was a little pricey, and the Galettes had an unpleasant flavor. The service was very friendly, but for a pastry/breakfast place, they were understaffed for a Saturday morning.

In my travels, very few places have met the standards of this gem. The food was amazing.

After visiting this establishment months ago and having a great experience i decided to come back for breakfast- was shocked by the utter rudeness and disrespect by the employees, they clearly hate working there and you can feel the negative energy as soon as you step inside the door. The price compared to what i was received and the 40 minutes it took for the food and coffee to finally make its way to our table was truly appalling- was extremely disappointed and will never be returning. I know it is owned by different people now and the true authenticity of the cafe has completely diminished, if i could give it a negative star rating i would, don’t waste your time here

Visited recently and was greeted with a line to the sidewalk. After hearing that the majority of items were out of stock I opted to have french toast and strawberries, a $3 option might I add. Upon arrival at the table, I noticed 3 strawberries were on the plate. $1 a strawberry, come on... The french toast was mediocre at best, it is difficult to review it through the copious amount of powdered sugar to cover the bland and stale strawberries. The coffee was great on a past visit but I'm sad to say this establishment has tarnished its name. Do NOT waste your time visiting this location. I believe two of these now franchises are now under new management. The store downtown is your best bet to experience the real Saveurs du Monde Cafe.

I can’t rate the food because I walked out while waiting in line for 10 minutes watching a young girl behind the counter ever so SLOWLY fold a box while the line was out the door. The employees seem to be in a trance, completely untrained and unmotivated. It’s our second and last attempt at this cafe. The owners need to participate and monitor what’s going on.

Absolutely wonderful and cozy little spot. Met the new owner and had a great cup of coffee and blt for lunch. Only complaint is the prices but that seems to be everywhere these days.

The pastry was good though I arrived at 2 pm and soggy bottoms.Everything was piled together on one tray and the worker seemed irritaited that I was asking what things were. There was no one else there to buy. The worker was anything but welcoming. My S-I-L bought some Sunday morning and they were fabulous. If I were to return I would go earlier. I suspect everything is marked and the employees actually want to be there

Quaint parisian motif Café. Coffee is a fantastic locally roasted bean. Visit here any chance I can when in Charleston.

Super nice staff - recommend but not impressed with food amounts. Ordered a Nutella and strawberry crepe (+$3 for strawbs) and there was barely any Nutella and the equivalent of 1.5 strawberries included

I'm grateful this place exists. It's the only breakfast place in the area where you can get a decent meal and not some fried, frozen and reheated bulk crap. The staff is friendly and willing to customize to fit food sensitivities. I could get a gluten free breakfast crepe (made on the spot) and when I asked to to skip the cheese and get eggs instead there was no problem and no extra charge. I even got a fruit cup with it which I didn't expect. My friend got the passion fruit desert which looked like it was out of a French pastry show. She said it was the best she'd ever had. The space itself could use a few updates and I hope this place gets more and more business so they can match the interior to the quality of food they provide.

I love coming to this French cafe for an early lunch or a quiche or crepe with a cappuccino while sitting in the window and working on my laptop. I may or may not also have a macaron ?

This place used to be so so good but over the last 6 or 8 months it has gone down a steep hill. I've called to place an order and have heard we have no bacon, we don't have eggs, we don't have baguettes, the kitchen is closed, it's always something. This morning i had my wife pick up a classic on baguette and she came home with the saddest looking croissant you've ever seen. Really should've taken a picture. It hurts my heart to write this but i sincerely hope they get it together
