I had a dinner here, was very good but not 5 stars ... because the rainbow rolls was not that great was not made well ... on the other hand the hibachi with shrimps was very good ... .
In general is a good sushi restaurant.

I enjoyed the food so much tonight ! The beef in the Beef fried rice was so tender and juicy . The food always comes out correctly . I request a certain extra sauce on the side, it is always in the bag. We love Sushi Torro !

Had high expectations. Got the sushi Lovers Boat for two. Sushi was average at best. Fish did not taste fresh, but rather 'refidgerated'. Salad and miso very good. Service was fair, but rush, rush, rush.

Sweetest little stop, we just needed something quick to eat on our way home from the beach and found this gem. Great service and they gave us free ice cream!

Visiting Charleston for vacation. Dining here was very pleasant, it is a small quiet restaurant. We loved the sushi rolls, salmon nigiri, and miso soup. Mixed drinks were very tasty, the service was great, and they gave us desert on the house! We will definitely visit next time we come to Charleston.

Excellent sushi! The spider roll was delicious and the vegetable fried rice is the best I’ve ever had! Service was a little slow due to the high volume of take out orders but the food is worth the wait!

Best sushi and miso soup I've ever had. The Tokyo cosmo is incredible. And if you're a regular you get a brownie and ice cream on the house every time.

My recent dining experience at Sushi Taro Japanese Restaurant, was nothing short of extraordinary. From the moment we walked in, we were captivated by the beautiful ambiance. The interior was serene and tastefully decorated, creating an atmosphere that was both elegant and inviting.
The staff were incredibly nice and welcoming. We were greeted graciously and promptly shown to our seats. Their hospitality set the tone for the rest of the meal.
We began our meal with the Taro House Salad with Ginger Dressing. This was, without a doubt, the largest and most beautifully presented house salad I have ever had at a restaurant. The ginger dressing was so delicious that if it were socially acceptable, I would have gladly drunk it as a soft drink! Honestly, if we had stopped at the house salad, I would have been completely satisfied.
However, we were there for sushi, and sushi we had! We ordered the Buddha's Belly Roll, Naruto Roll, Crazy Tuna Roll, and the Philadelphia Maki Roll. Each roll was beautifully presented on a pristine white dish, accompanied by ample amounts of ginger and sinus-scorching wasabi – which I absolutely love. The sushi was so enticing that, embarrassingly, I forgot to take pictures. The portions were generous, and the flavors were exquisite. We ended up with more food than we could handle and had to tap out – something we had never done before!
To top off an already amazing meal, the staff graciously gave us a complimentary ice cream brownie dessert. It was the perfect ending to a perfect meal.
Sushi Taro Japanese Restaurant is truly a hidden gem tucked away at the back of a shopping plaza. More people need to know about this place and try their incredible food. I can’t wait to return and indulge in more of their delicious offerings!
Wheelchair accessibility: The restaurant is all on one level with no steps. The doorways and aisles are wide enough for a wheelchair to pass through comfortably. There are also a few wheelchair accessible parking spots right out front
