Service was great. Oysters were amazing. Fire roasted Vegis were awesome. Crab rigatoni was absolutely inedible. They did take it off the bill because the server tried it and also agreed. Kinda a bummer. Beautiful spot but unfortunately the entree missed the mark.
Great location for a dinner with friends. Parking situation is less than ideal, but the restaurant, especially the service was very good. Our server Ayla was wonderful: friendly and attentive. Definitely will return.
Mackinsey was great...very attentive and provided us menu alternatives for our special requests
Food was undercooked & cold..waited a long time for the replacement..limited menu...seats in the main dining room was all shredded & worn out..time for a complete overhaul at those prices
The food is very good. The service was terrible last night. The hostess last night seemed very unhappy and was unpleasant. The waiter was not attentive. He brought the wine bottle and did show the label to us, neither did he pour a taster. There were 4 of us. He emptied the entire bottle into the 4 glasses and took the bottle away. He brought the check while we were still eating. Did not. ask if we wanted a dessert. Sad.
Took an OOT friend to Tavern and Table for dinner with a view. It did not disappoint! We shared the artichoke crab dip, Brussels sprouts and the Italian flatbread. All were delicious and just the right amount of food for 3 people.
I probably would've given it a higher review but one of my biggest pet peeve is when the food comes and you're not done with the appetizer. That's what happened to me last night. I almost set the main course back, but I just let it sit off to the side till I finished my appetizer. I really don't understand why that happens.
We were a table of 5, ordered 4 different meals (2 of us ordered the same thing). Entree choices were limited. For most of us, the food was average at best. Didn't expect that there would be a private party next to us with about 15 kids around 5-10 years old. Screaming. Running around. Expected a place that required a reservation to not have a kids' party. But I guess when you're next to Shem Creek with the tourists, you should be ready for anything. Not likely to return anytime soon.
We had the most incredible dinner at Tavern & Table last night! From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was warm and inviting, with a perfect mix of lively energy and relaxed charm. The service was absolutely top-notch—our server was attentive, knowledgeable, and made excellent recommendations. Every dish we ordered was beautifully presented and bursting with flavor. The crab dip was hands-down one of the best we've ever had, and the entrees were cooked to perfection. We also loved the craft cocktails—creative, balanced, and delicious! What really stood out was the attention to detail. You can tell the team here truly cares about creating an unforgettable dining experience. It wasn't just a meal—it was a night to remember. We left already planning our next visit. If you're looking for a place that combines excellent food, exceptional service, and a stunning waterside setting, Tavern & Table is a must!
We had a wonderful experience. The food was delicious and the ambiance was lovely. We had a large party split between two tables and everything went very smoothly. The staff was great, food service was timely and we really enjoyed our evening there.

The peel and eat shrimp and cornbread are amazing. The service was excellent (Kim) We make this one of regular stops when in this area!
Tavern & Table is a go to spot in Mount Pleasant. Situated on Shem Creek, the ambiance is relaxing and slightly upscale. The food is always delicious! We have never had anything we didn't like. We just wish they'd bring back their fried deviled eggs! The service here is attentive, helpful with a smile. The bartenders outside are quick and generous with their pours. Outside seating offers you a waterfront view of Shem Creek where boaters, kayakers and dolphin frequent.
I am relatively new to Charleston and I had an out of town guest for the weekend. I really wanted to take him to see the dolphins, and just hoped that the food would be good as well. We missed the dolphins, but the food did not disappoint. We split the burnt end mac & cheese, oysters casino, and the cornbread. All were delicious. Everyone on the staff was polite and professional. The waitress was attentive, the hostess was welcoming. I will definitely be back.
Went for lunch with a friend. We both had the crab cakeBLT's. Was delicious and very filling. The atmosphere was bright and though we didn't sit outside, we could see the creek with boats going by and paddle boarders, etc. Very good experience which I recommend highly.
This is the first review I've ever written, so that should tell you something. Horrible service and food was bland. Too many great selections in Charleston to go here. Avoid.
