I've eaten here several times and so far nothing has wowed me, especially for the price points. I've had the wings, they were just Ok, nothing special and I actually like the ones I make at home in the air fryer better. I've had the ahi tuna- it was $16 and the portion size was minuscule, and it was served with round tortillas that were a bit stale tasting. I've had the Caesar salad, and it was the best thing I've eaten here if that tells you anything. If you're not a member of the club you're really not missing out on much.

ion Club's adult pool provides me with mid day vacation. Though sometimes I work while walking. The poolside cafe delivers my lunch, and I am good. ION also has a heated Jr Olympic pool for lap swimming , baby pool. Boasts up to date gym, personal training, water aerobics and First class tennis program. The outside bar has unique adult beverages, and popsicles. Food is awesome and not over priced. Today begins an exciting new era to ION. Member centered Mehdi and Britt have been promoted and are now the managers. ION has always been awesome now with Mehdi and Britt at the helm, with members first, compounded by years of previous experience, it will be even better. Call Britt today and set up a tour

While I enjoy the food, the service has been horrible this summer. It was so bad that on one occasion we got "fed up" and left. My BIGGEST GRIPE is the hours of operation though. Who for the love of God wants to cook for the fam on a Saturday or Sunday night? They are missing the biggest chunk of sales by being closed these two service shifts. I've heard if from everyone who lives in the I'On and Hobcaw communities. It's openly discussed around the pools by the patrons. Seems like we have a club without club amenities like a full service restaurant.

Such a beautiful little clubhouse spot! Perfect for Friday night relaxation and watching a tennis match or a few! Great music and band as well! And I really enjoyed the drinks and the pretty sun that shined through the porch! The lighter and healthier fare was perfect for a sunny day and evening! The staff was super friendly and great for recommending drinks and food pairings! I also love that they support local vendors and companies as well like having a tasting by Goza tequila! I enjoyed every minute of it there and also really like the layout of the place. I wish I had seen the inside of the club house but the outside was great! Thanks for such a great time!

The Porch is a classic, yet fun little restaurant that is open to the public, not just members of I'on. They recently hosted a Yelp Community Event and wow I was impressed. Turning into this area, is seriously a hidden gem of Mt P. The scenery is beautiful, calm and homey. The building itself feels like you are walking onto someone's large porch of their fancy classic beach house. They are have views of the tennis courts, pool and other beautiful areas around it. Now the food, was awesome! I am very picky when it comes to fish, as I usually eat shrimp, crab, tilapia and that's it. But wow, it was refreshing to actually enjoy a different type of fish that wasn't slimy, or tasted fishy. The texture was just right and full of flavor. The hummus, oh yes tomato basil flavor perfectly complimented the fish. Seriously mouth watering. Now the bar, oh heavens yessss. I have no idea the name of the pink drink, but it was phenomenal! It wasn't weak, and wasn't to strong, which can be difficult when mixing with tequila. It was literally just right. Now onto entertainment, they have live music on top of live action tennis. Can it seriously get anymore southern. Love it! The performer was a 14 year old kid saving for college, but he was pretty dang good. Lastly, I loved the atmosphere as it was warm and welcoming. As the sun when down, they flipped on the twinkling lights above. Really made it feel like you where having a party on someone back porch. There's really no other way to do it when you're in Charleston! I highly recommend giving this restaurant a try, it's definitely a hidden gem.

If club staff thought there was a reason to evacuate for Florence, that is their prerogative. But to completely close the exercise rooms “for the protection of members†all week when Florence was nearby is paranoid and not a decision that was made with club member's best interest in mind.
