Vickery’s Bar & Grill delivers a solid coastal dining experience with a laid-back vibe that feels right at home along the canal. The setting is easily one of its strongest cards—water views, boats drifting by, and a relaxed Lowcountry atmosphere that instantly puts you in vacation mode (even if you’re local).

The menu is impressively broad, offering everything from burgers and salads to pasta dishes, so there’s something for just about everyone at the table. Pair that with a tasty drink menu, and you’ve got a recipe for a very enjoyable meal. We hit it during the slow season, which meant zero wait time—a beautiful thing—and the staff was friendly and attentive without hovering.

Atmosphere-wise, the outdoor setting shines, but the interior tells a slightly older story. The inside and bar area feel a bit dated, and the bar itself could use a little TLC—nothing alarming, just noticeable. Also, fair warning: if you’re not a raw onion enthusiast, the salad onions come in hot and proud. Onion lovers will rejoice, everyone else might pick a few out.

Bottom line: Vickery’s is a great spot for good food, strong drinks, friendly service, and a canal-side view that does most of the heavy lifting. A little interior refresh would push it higher, but at 4.1 stars, it’s absolutely worth a stop—especially on a sunny, no-wait kind of day.

First time on a recommendation from our hotel. We entered and staff was lingering at the bar and eating food.
Our food came out warm , which was strange because the restaurant was not very busy. Staff can continue to linger around the bar and continue to eat food at the bar while working.
We were going to order another round of drinks and our dessert. It took over 15 minutes to get our dessert out and at that time we had allotted a half an hour for our Uber. We did not order another round of drinks ate our dessert and left.
I felt the food was mediocre at best and the service was very poor for not being very busy. Unfortunately, we are down here on vacation. I do not expect that we would be able to give the restaurant another chance. It did come highly recommended and unfortunately did not meet those expectations of the recommendation.
Cold to lukewarm food and waiting on our server when the restaurant was not very busy was a big letdown. I will say our appetizer was hot and tasted very good. Our actual dinner came out and was lukewarm at Best and unfortunately average tasting.
They do have a lot of great recommendations. It could’ve been a bad day, but with the quiet evening, I would’ve thought the food would’ve come out hot and our service would’ve been more timely.
I hope this was just an off night for the restaurant we were there December 11, 2025 I leave the review in hopes that the restaurant can read it and look into the issues. I’ve read other reviews. It seems like it has had good reviews and a good reputation. It could’ve been just an off night.

Food was awesome, Faith was the absolute best bartender tender EVER. They charge for parking but allow you time to eat. I was coming up on my allotted time so we paid our multiple tabs at 247.00 and left. They charged us 1.19 for our overage in the allotted parking time. They can take that 1.19 and choke on it. WONT BE BACk driving or on the water. Enjoy your 1.19.

On vacation we had dinner here. Food was ok. Parking, I was charged almost $45!!! Did everything the person up front told me to do to get reimbursed. Called 3 different times to get fixed. Said it would be, every time i called. 3 weeks later still not. We be telling everyone I know, don't go!!! Food not that good for $45 parking.

My family and I went to Vickery's for lunch. The atmosphere was great and the food was ok. I ordered the Turkey Pita sandwich that had raspberry mayonnaise on it, which i was excited to try. Unfortunately, the pita bread barely had any raspberry mayonnaise on it. The chicken tenders and fries were good.

As part of our visit to Isle of Palms beach and Shem Creek we called into Vickery’s for early dinner. The restaurant has indoor and outdoor seating with great views of the creek with its busy eateries and bars, lots of boats and people. Service was super friendly, attentive and fast. I had Cuban Sandwich with a side of Carolina red rice (my new favourite side!) and my partner had a smash burger with bacon and cheese with seasoned fries. Food was tasty and hot, not quite amazing but very nice - price is pretty much in line with most similar-type of grill bars. The atmosphere was great - we ate pretty early so it was fairly quiet when we arrived but it soon filled up - it had a great vibe about it, customers and staff all smiles. Would definitely visit again - perhaps next time I would try some seafood options as there were some nice dishes on the menu.

Excellent food and drinks. Service was quick and friendly. It was a little unnerving to see all of the food scraps on the floor around the tables. Usually, Vickerys is neater than this.

PARKING!

I was charged $75 for parking because I was trying to help a grandparent who didn’t have a smart phone. They use a QR code to handle their parking. I called the restaurant several times to get this resolved with a manager and no one returned my call.

Fortunately, my credit card company denied the charge and now I’m just hoping the parking company doesn’t dispute the claim. But what a headache for a simple lunch with a grandfather. And no help or communication from Vickery’s.
