Sorry to hear..we have eaten there many times when we stayed at Oconee State Park.. We are coming up again in a couple weeks and will miss you guys.

Website said they closed at 8:30pm on Thursday, but they close at 8. We got there at 7:55 and owner told us to come on in and eat. Really good food and friendly service. Would recommend this place.

Mountain Rest Cafe is a friendly spot with a family type atmosphere. They have great burgers for a quick lunch and tasty combos for a "supper" that's just a little bit more. Try the clam strips. They have just the right crunch but not over done. There's also some hand dip ice cream for the kiddos!
