Super great food. Ambience is laid back and somewhat Caribbean in feel. Bartender we had was awesome and very sociable. The salad here is king! House dressing cannot be imitated! This place does not disappoint…

STOP! Read Before Visiting! This is no longer a separate restaurant -- its the red-headed step-child of JPeters (next door). We chose this place thinking it was a less pricey option for our family of 6. We were sitting at a nicely painted picnic table ( suitable for the type of dinner we expected) and given a menu for the Steak House next door (J Peters).I asked the waitress and she said the Love Shack was owned by J Peters. SO, we decided if we were paying Highly-rated-steakhouse Prices, we might as well sit inside the nice steakhouse! We were pleasantly surprised to find it was "early bird" hours (see photo of menu!).My Advice: if you're here for dinner, arrive early and Go next door to J Peters for the early bird menu!
Fun, casual spot, right on the waterfront in Murrells Inlet with a good-sized outdoor patio. The decor is bright and fun, retro, and very "beach". Dog friendly, too!The food was delicious, and the service was quick and waitstaff friendly.I got the Black and Blue salad with blackened tuna. The tuna was perfectly done, served seared and medium rare. It was served on Romain lettuce (I would have preferred mixed greens), with tomatoes and yummy crispy onion straws. It also came with blue cheese crumbles, but I skipped those. The onion straws were a little greasy but delicious, just the same (just less healthy!). The balsamic vinegrette was quite good.My husband had the fried flounder sandwhich with fries, which he said was delicious. The fish was very fresh, fried just right (not greasy) with a light breading. The fries could have been crisper (a bit limp) but still tasted good. The bread was like a po'boy roll. The view of the waterfront from the patio is lovely, and it was fun to people watch on the boardwalk. The price was a little high for lunch, but the quality of the food was excellent, which made it a good value.I highly recommend this fun spot for casual drinks, lunch, or dinner.Parking: The lot size is fine on a warm December day. But in high season, I think you'd be hard pressed to get a spot. You can park across the street, however.

Bubba's menu does not exist any more, sold out to Peter's. There is no more shrimp and grits on menu, she crab soup is not good at all. Better places to eat for the money, food is so-so!!!

Ordered the chicken nachos. Chips were cold and almost burnt, with very little chicken. They did have lots of bbq sauce and queso sauce but at $15 I'd say they were way overpriced. Marci the bartender was very friendly and offered great service and good drinks. We'd go back but definitely stay away from those nachos.

Be aware when you order prime rib before 5 pm, you will not get prime rib. The meat was a piece of generic chewy steak. This steak was a flavorless 1/4 inch thick of rubbery meat. The salmon was a piece of dried over grilled fish. The 1 inch by 3 inch piece of salmon should be listed a sampler portion. Our party of 4, received our chicken nachos appetizer at the same time as our entrees. At 5:15 pm, the table next to us ordered prime rib and amazingly they received real prime rib.We dressed for the Witch Walk so, we dined early. The croissants and the house salad were good. Our server was friendly and apologetic for the delayed appetizer. No apologies about the meat or the fish.We will not eat at Bubba's Love Shack or J Peters again.
