Rude Barista! Wouldn’t recommend!

Stopped in for a coffee, but the experience was ruined by the barista/owner with long gray hair. From the start, she was curt and dismissive, making it clear customers were more of an inconvenience than anything else. On top of that, the drinks were overpriced and honestly not that good—definitely not worth what they’re charging. Coffee shops should feel welcoming, but the rude attitude and mediocre drinks made it uncomfortable and disappointing. I won’t be returning, and I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone who values good service or good coffee.

The breakfast sandwich was premade store bought packaged and microwaved, fake egg and could hardly call what was on there bacon. The coffee was watery in the latte and flavorless. Worst $30 spent.

I stopped in for a chai latte and I was very please to have a very nice lady who was more than happy to make me one. She also had me try it before I left to see if I needed any spices added since I had told her just a few minutes before that I love a very spice filled chai.
I’m very happy and will be back for sure.

Poor book selection at the front.
Muffins in plastic wrap put in the pastry case.

Paid $9.25 for a medium sized iced vanilla latte with whole milk. At that price it should be what it is right? Espresso, milk, vanilla syrup. Wrong. Espresso? Non-existent. Milk? FILLED TO THE BRIM. Vanilla syrup? One small pump for an extra DOLLAR ??!!

I paid $10 for a glass of milk with ice in it. Not going back. If you want to support a local business that doesn’t suck, go to Benjamin’s!

I was really looking forward to trying a local spot while on vacation with my friends. It was only 10 am and yet most drink items were unavailable, so I ordered an iced vanilla latte with oatmilk. I never leave bad reviews, but when paying $10.26 for a medium latte, I was hoping for better quality. The drink was very watered down, flavorless and didn't even taste like it had real espresso in it. I make a more high quality latte with my nespresso machine every morning.

Dog friendly so I can walk my boys then take them while I sit outside and drink my deliciously made coffee!! It’s so cute and quaint. Feels like I am in the city at the beach. Just an overall awesome ambiance.

Very short. Not coming back. Very skilled to have coffee shop open by yourself, but I couldn't handle the attitude.

Ab was never dank

The regulars were treated fine- to preface. Walked in with only one person in front of us. Asked about frappes, was told there were no frappes which was fine. I am used to the daily grind in another place- so I was used to kindness and stellar service. I did not get that here. I asked about an iced coffee and she responded that ‘it’s just a coffee with ice in it’ and said something about it being there on the menu. Before I could even start my order she walked off mid sentence and interrupted me, no coffees to make, no one around. If the employee is inconvenienced so heavily by someone asking questions about what they’re selling and what someone is going to be spending money on, then they did not need my money or my service. If you want coffee that comes with kindness and professionalism then find somewhere else to shop.

The employee with purple hair appeared to be unfriendly when taking my order. The cappuccino tasted mostly of water/ milk very little coffee or Carmel flavor. Was here on vacation was trying to support local business. Went to Starbucks.

Sorry to be a Negative Nancy but my daughter was so excited to stop here last week on our vacation and it was awful!! The woman who took our order was extremely short with us, was ignorant when we asked questions and made us feel very unwelcome!! The coffee drinks were ok at best, pastries tasteless and customer service poor… don’t waste your time or money!

Avoid this place at all costs. Worst customer service experience of my life. Have never been treated like such.

I would like to preface this by saying I’m not really a review writing person. Over the course of 6 years, I’ve written 7 Google reviews. I have never written a bad review even though I of course have had plenty of less than pleasant experiences, as I’m sure everyone has. As a business owner, I understand how reviews can negatively impact your business.

My husband and I and our two year old daughter visited this place 7/29 around 10am. There were 3 customers waiting for their order, and two in line ahead of us. We waited maybe 10-15 minutes, but no problem. The lady was slammed and it was just her fixing all these drinks and food. I’m sure she was overwhelmed. Seeing this, I knew not to expect FRIENDLY service, but that’s ok just wanted to order our drinks and get out of the way.
I ordered my husband and our daughter two very straight forward, simple drinks. A sweet tea and a medium iced caramel latte. For myself, I asked if she could do decaf espresso. After a laugh, a scoff, and a condescending “yeah I can do decaf espresso” i asked how many shots a medium latte comes with. She replied 3. I said ok, I would like to do a medium latte with half of the espresso being decaf. More sneering and condescending attitude from her. I felt stupid, although I order this drink at literally every coffee shop I go to and it’s never a problem, however I just said, if it’s too difficult I can order something else. She bit my head off, “ITS NOT TOO DIFFICULT.”
Since we hadn’t totally established if she WOULD make this drink for me, when she asked about flavor, I was a bit confused, and thought she was asking about flavor for the first latte. To clarify, I asked which latte. You can imagine how that went. After about the 10th time she was condescending, rude, nasty to me, a paying customer, in a 1 minute exchange, I just said you know what it’s ok I think I’ll just cancel this order. She gave another nasty, condescending smile and said “THANK YOU!” and punched the screen to clear our order.

Maybe a half decaf latte does seem silly to baristas, idk. Sure, I could order it with just one shot if I want less caffeine, but I don’t want one shot and the rest all milk. I like the taste of espresso and I like what I like. There is a specific, private reason I order them this way, and it should not need an explanation. No one ever questions it and I certainly have NEVER been treated like that for ordering it in that way.

I would have never nitpicked this place had I not been treated like such garbage. But if we are just being honest and reviewing this “coffee shop”… the wait time was pathetic, the shop was dirty, the food options was all just stuff from Kroger, AND the service was hateful.

I considered trying to handle this with owner privately but much to my shock, upon finding out who the owner is, the woman taking my order this morning IS the owner!

Mary K. Maestas, you hateful, condescending, poor excuse of a woman and business owner - my greatest hope is that another person never sets foot in your shop and you have to close your doors.

Have the day, the life, and the level of success you deserve.

Woman with purple hair was extremely rude, and from what I gathered the owner. Please hire someone to work the counter of your business instead of you running it. Because you are unpleasant and driving away business. I decided to not even order. Also says they have locally sourced goods and they have thomas bagels in a bag.
