We finally ate here recently for dinner. Our server was attentive, but not as helpful with my wife's meal selection because she has a dairy allergy. He steered her to the only vegan item (other than a salad) on the menu. She said the vegggie pot pie was good, but she was hoping for a burger. I had flounder with fries. Portion size served was enough for me to take some home for lunch the following day. It was good, not great.
We did enjoy our meals. Plus, they have Happy Hour prices all day.

Love this restaurant. Discovered it on recent trip to the beach. The food is great! So far we have gone back twice! I have ordered the shrimp tacos, the Ceasar salad, the chicken pot pie, and the turkey mashed potato bowl. I enjoyed all of them. Julia, our waitress, was pleasant, friendly and efficient!! We plan to go back again visit we leave town!

Was I ever sick after I left there.
Chicken Salad was so dry. Cole Slaw is what really made me sick. A Bun that was so hard impossible to eat. A shared dessert was the only thing good. I wish I had returned the food

Best Maryland Crab soup on the coast of South Carolina!
Came here for lunch with the wife while visiting for the weekend. The side garden salad with homemade honey mustard dressing was excellent - loved the dressing. The Half & Half soup was unique but good - plenty of claw crabmeat. The crabcake platter was very good, however I wished it was broiled a bit more. Chunks of jumbo lump crabmeat. Plenty of fresh cut fries & coleslaw. The fried flounder & jumbo shrimps platter was good, however they were overcooked a bit & the batter came apart. Shrimps were huge & flounder was fresh. Generous portions. Foods were not salty, everything tasted delicious. Our server was great & attentive. 2 thumbs up for H3.

This restaurant is a must visit place. The menu has a lot of delicious options to satisfy anyone. I had a Brady Bunch Smashburger which was excellent. My wife had a blackened sandwich which she really enjoyed. Service was great. Would recommend going there. We will definitely be back.

My wife and I have lived here for 5 years,and friends of mine kept telling me that this was the best crab cake ever.Well she’s from Maryland and NEVER had a good crab cake! I promise this was the absolute best she And I have ever had.Lisa explained everything to us and we are so grateful for our date night at The Hippie Hen!!! $$ For two 😜

Great Maryland (we are from MD) style lump crab cakes…no fillers! Our waitress Mindy was fabulous and fun to engage with during our meals!
Went here due to the 4.6 rating but wow, we're we dissapointed. Our waitress tried her best but seemed to be only one really taking orders. Took a while.tonorder and forever to get food that was mediocre. Will not be back.

I wanted to see what the hype was about since they were voted Best at the Beach for several categories. Burger was seasoned well but very small. Other menu choice was very salty with very little onions, cheese and special mayo. Too dry. Server was great but the atmosphere was dreary. Definitely looks like a stripped down TGIFs. Decor needs a facelift.

This place rocked. Vacationing, but used to live at surfside and have tried a lot of places. This is now a new favorite! Our server (really sweet, hair pulled up with an under shave) was so awesome, helpful and a great addition to the incredible food!!!
