Seafood is always very good but this time the Chilean Seabass was only a 3 star. Seemed like a fresh frozen taste. However, the Grouper dish was 4.5 stars!

We started with She Crab Soup, Hot Fish Sampler and Roasted Pears! So delicious! Our entrees were Blackened Mahi, Citrus Salmon, and Shrimp & Grits - all were cooked perfectly. Key Lime Pie for dessert had the right amount of sweet & tart. Definitely the best restaurant in the Inlet!

Lively atmosphere, very good food and cocktails. The fried shrimp was melt in your mouth. Service was attentive and efficient. The restaurant looked to me like it needed a good cleaning, sort of dirty and dingy looking.

At the Hot Fish Club, there's a pretty view of the marsh and the water outside, beyond the windows out back. My Creek Shrimp were very good, prepared as I've come to expect them here in Murrell's Inlet. My wife wasn't as happy with her selection, crab cakes and vegetables.

This place has great ratings but we aren't sure why. First off the menu has way too many choices which is generally a red flag. We started with toasted Anjou pears which were the highlight. Spouse had a seafood boil that was just ok. I had the rib eye and it was tough though it was rare as I ordered it. Everything about the place is average except we did have a good waitress.
