Hwy 55 Burgers Shakes & Fries

I did a call in order so that we could order and go pick it up to take home. We had someone coming over so we wanted to be able to pick it up on the way home to eat before we got home. First Ihe lady on the phone kept interrupting me while trying to order. She said would be ready in 15 minutes. We ran an errand and also went through the car wash to give them ample time so it would be ready when we got there.
First when we came in I see a guy at the bar. The same lady who took my order on the phone had me pay for our meal. . I then see the cook at the grill look panicked. He grabbed the spindle where the kitchen tickets were stabbed and proceeded to pull of a few tickets to find mine. I watched as he then started to cook my food. Then the guy at the bar who turns out to be the other cook finally gets up from the bar to help. So we wait 15 minutes more for them to cook the food. I also saw another cook sitting outside.
Get home and the onion rings are burnt. The cheeseburger is so well done my mother can't eat it. I ordered chili cheese tots and got cheese tots no chili.
I've worked in a restaurant for over 25 years. I know things happen. Maybe they thought the ticket was already made and stabbed but the thing was there wasn't but one other person in the whole restaurant. They were not busy. I clearly saw the cook panick and realize he didn't make the ticket and had in fact stabbed it like it had already been made. And he saw that I saw him and no one said a word. A simple sorry would have made a world of difference to begin with. Also I would have made damn sure the food was cooked correctly knowing I had screwed up by not making the order to begin with. We used to go here fairly often. We live down the street from this restaurant. Again I know things happen but this was just overall a horrible experience. We will not be going back.

Do NOT recommend. Food comes out in parts and is not good. No flavor. Cooks attitude is is worse than his food. Cook is possibly the private owner. Wait staff good but cook treats them awful. After a 40 min wait still didn't get all of our food and what we did was wrong and not good

Came here on 6/14 to try something new and was rudely awaken to the kind of business the owner is running. It was me, my husband, child and both of my parents and 10 year old brother. From the start there was only one table of people when we walked in, was told to sit where ever. Waitress asked what we wanted to drink maybe 10 minutes after we sat down. She disappeared for another 10 minutes still no drinks, when she finally did come back to ask us what we wanted for food she was rude and very clearly on something. We ordered at maybe 3:50 and didn’t get half of our incorrect order 40 minutes later. When we went to tell our waitress she became snarky and told us it was our fault and then the cook jumped in. They decided to call the cops while another person in my party stepped outside after having been cussed out by the cook. The cook kept saying to get out so I grabbed my child to take outside because she doesn’t need to be around this kind of environment. While I was doing that my mom was telling them she would take it to go since we were still paying. The cook then stated we better get our “ass out” but wanted us to stay for the sheriffs. The waitress then stood outside and watched us sit in our car with a screaming 6 month old and videoed it. All we did was ask that our order be right after waiting practically 40 minutes but that was too much for the old man apparently. I would highly recommend you steer clearer of this place
Unless you enjoy sitting in your car in the rain waiting for the cops.

The food was ehh, the waitress was nice but the cook (maybe owner) was a total jerk to customers and the waitresses, idk if I have ever seen someone so rude, I felt so sorry for the poor waitresses. He kept glaring at the customers, wouldn't even let us take our drink to go, the waitress had to sneak us a cup. Avoid this place.

Stopped by for an old fashioned burger and got exactly what we were looking for. We opted for takeout because the staff seemed overwhelmed with a 19 member group. The food was great, we'll be back.

Came in today and they were rude and kept staring at us up and down and on top of that paying 14 dollars for this is insane never again.

Loved this place would recommend stopping here to grab some yummy food

Excellent double cheeseburger and fries. Hot and fresh food paired with efficient service. I'll be back!

We love this place and the food is great BUT there are some serious issues when ordering your meal.

It takes the woman at the counter SEVERAL times to take your order down and every single time the order ends up being incorrect. I’m not quite sure what the issue is or the confusion but wanted to give constructive feedback as this is nearly the fifth time this has happened.

I think the dine in experience must be better than ordering to go.

Food was fresh & made as ordered. Wait staff was very polite & attentive to our needs. (Knife, lemons, extra plate) Refills. Overall the restaurant was very clean.

Could not get anyone to answer phone. Was told by disrespectful employee it had not rung. Then was told I had to take a drink and slaw did not come with my order. Talked to hateful and rude. We live a mile from there and ate there often but no more. Plus the prices have gone outrageous.

We won't go here again. We ordered 2 BLT's to go and were told that it would take 15 minutes. It took almost 30 and the sandwiches were cold and terrible.

Never ever again will we eat there. Took a hour to get food and was only 9 people inside eating.
There was four of us eating. My wife and son-in-law got their food first then my daughter got her fries and I got my 10 tatartots and they were cold and finally we got our cheese steaks . I asked for no mushrooms and Lord behold mushrooms were on it and no taste what's so ever.
One of the worst places to eat in Murrell's Inlet and my wife and daughter said to go to Chic filet. Wish I would have listened. Never never ever again will we go back

This was just a random pick to get something on the way back home. Our waitress, Kerri (might be wrong spelling) was phenomenal and made this experience great.
For a random pick, the food was nicely cooked and the portions were filling. Will come back next time I’m on vacation.
