Always has what I'm looking for! Always smells like good fresh "that day" seafood, not 2 and 3 day old stuff. Been buying here for years.

I recently went into Murrells Inlet Seafood and bought flounder. It did not look fresh me, but I bought it anyway because a friend recommended them. The flounder was bad and made my whole family sick. I am a local resident and live within walking distance to the store. I will not be going back in there. I truly like to support local businesses, but will not take another chance with them buying bad fish. I’m disappointed. It was very expensive too.

Stopped by for some seafood. Have a decent variety for a small seafood store. Friendly staff. Picked up some shrimp, strawberry grouper and trigger fish. Also picked up cocktail sauce and new bay seasoning.

We live in the inlet and wish I cooked more Seafood at home as if I did I would have the pleasure of shopping Murrells Inlet Seafood more often than I do. However, when I am looking for seafood, I know I can always count on Rick and Murrells Inlet Seafood.Recently, my 91 year old mom was on Hospice and loosing her appetite so I thought some of Rick's soup would please her and boy did I hit a home run... Mom absolutely loved the lobster asparagus truffle bisque and inhaled the entire quart in one day!I will always remember just how much joy Rick's soup added to moms life at a very hard time when nothing tasted good, mom loved the soup!A sincere Thank You to Rick and the entire staff at Murrells Inlet Seafood!

We bought 8 lobsters and spent $215.00. When I asked for the lobsters I was told they had some but they had been there a couple of days and although still alive not moving much. I asked several times if they were sure the lobsters were still good and each time I was told oh yes they will taste just the same.Well we were VERY disappointed to say the least. We couldn't even finish a whole lobster before we all decided we were lied to & we should have gone somewhere else. They were terrible to say the least and we had to throw them away. To say the least, I was not very happy to have spent that kind of money to have to throw them away. NEVER AGAIN! I should have walked out as soon as I walked in because the place smelled awful!

I saw it received good reviews so we tried it over the many other seafood markets in the area. We asked if they could steam it for us and they looked at us like we were crazy. They did, but I wish I would have cooked them myself. Totally overcook and mushy!! The seasoning they used was dumped on top of the overcooked shrimp and was just slightly spicy salt. Fresh??? We’re from St. Louis and can find seafood that is much fresher! The other seafood seafood markets were more crowded and I believe there’s a reason.

Amazing shop! We picked up some shrimp to grill while camping, and it tasted like "it was swimming today"! The folks here are wonderful and will exceed your customer service expectations. It was so great that we went back and purchased lots of things to bring home. One was the lump crab, I have always checked my lump crab for shells before cooking and this was the cleanest, tastiest crab I have ever eaten! Definitely make crab cakes and top with their Zesty Crab Dip...if there is any left after you have it on Ritz as an appetizer! Can't wait to try the Blue Crab soup. This place is fantastic!

The customer service here is amazing! We were so happy with our first visit that we went back three days later and bought lots of seafood to take home. The lump crab was clean and delicious, not a shell to be found in it. Definitely pick up some Zesty Crab Dip and Ritz!! The shrimp tasted like they just came off the boat, and they probably did! Can't wait to try the Blue Crab soup, and my buddy is looking forward to his Marinara, which he froze and brought home to Colorado! Thanks for the ice and the waterbottles. This place is definitely the best seafood market I have ever been to, and I grew up on the coast!!

I bought 2 lbs of jumbo shrimp last Sunday..the guy bagged them up on ice..I live 3 minutes away..I opened the bag when I got home to peel and devein them..immediately the most hideous smell enveloped the room..the shrimp were slimy and certainly not fresh!!..tossed them in the garbage but that continued to stink up my place..had to bring the entire garbage bag to our complex trash compactor..how could they not smell this???...would have returned them but I had friends coming over to watch the NFL Championship games and had to get the odor out of the house!
