Reasonably priced, good food, and great views.
Perfect experience every year we come to Litchfield Beach/Murrells Inlet.
Waited 40 min to be sat and then was told they were out of over half of there menu. Tried to order one of the few items they had ….a cheeseburger and was told they couldn’t cook it the way I asked( med rare) because they are frozen patties.
On the bright side, the grilled shrimp, flounder and scallops were good. It was Friday evening dinner at 7:0O and we only got one baked potato because they ran out of them. The potato tasted like it was from last night’s dinner and reheated in the foil. Hostess was not overly pleasant and if you don’t pay with cash, you are charged an extra 4%.
Been to Nances many many times. First time in a while. Quality of the food has gone down. Don’t waste your money on the crab legs. Hardly any meat in them. Shrimp tasted like they might have been bought from Sam’s Club. Just disappointed. Place has drastically changed.
This was our first visit to Nance's and we'll be going back!
My wife had the shrimp/scallops and I had the whole baby flounder. That was crispy and I loved it. Our server Corinne took good care of us. And the guitarist performing was loud enough to hear, but not overwhelming like most of the Marshwalk.
We were on vacation with our family.
This place was awful. Don't waste your time. McDonald's is much better.
They were out of 6 different things on the menu. So we had to try to find something else. They waitress brought us out baskets of Hushpuppyies. They were so greasy we couldn't eat them. They don't make any of their salad dressing. (All were Ken's out of a bottle)
Out of all the places to eat, this is not a place you want to try.
I hope they improve!!
We always eat at dances when we go to the inlet. Great views and food is delicious

Hostess was so very RUDE. She said they were completely out of oysters. Waitress was excellent and told us she didn't know why the hostess would say that. She again was extremely rude.

Returning customer (customer since at least 2005 or longer) in town (from out of state) for family event. My wife and I were really looking forward to dining here on Saturday 09/21/24 as we normally do when in town, we were also hoping to purchase some gift cards (if available) while we were there.
We arrived around 8:15 PM and walked right in. We got up to the open dining and the bar area where two ladies were standing at what appeared to be the 2nd hostess station. We stated that we were there for dinner when the dark haired lady said "we're closed". We were confused because we thought Nance's was open until 9:00PM on a Saturday and we thought we had enough time to at least get some seafood and hopefully some gift cards. We asked "why did you let us walk all the way up here just to tell us you're closed?"... she said "the sign on the door says we're closed".
Wow. Ok. Thanks for the "hospitality". We've been going to Nance's probably longer than the two of those ladies have been alive. Needless to say, we felt like it didn't matter to them at all if they got another customer or not. As we were leaving, we looked at the entrance door and we didn't see anything that indicated you were closed at 8:15 PM. The only thing we saw on the door regarding hours was a "closed Sunday(s)" sign. Unless there's some unwritten rule that no food is served 45 minutes prior to the actual closing time of 9:00 PM, we were just so disappointed that we couldn't get dinner and service in what we thought was plenty of time. BTW, we normally always tip at least 20%, and would have probably tipped more than that because it was later in the day.
The hostess was very friendly, our server on the other hand seemed like she could care less. We got our food at all different times. Half the table was done with their food before my husband even got his. The table beside of us got their salads before they got their drinks so I don’t think we were the only ones having an issue.. Hardly anybody in there on a Friday night and now we know why! The food tasted good and would go back for the food but definitely not the service. Unfortunately, we will go elsewhere next time we’re in the area!
