Since the brother and sister (I’m assuming that is them) the food and service has gone downhill. They want it to be some high end oyster bar, but it’s not. When I was growing up they were packed every night serving great food and service. Now they have an identity crisis. Don’t try to change what works, cater to the locals that brought you this far. Having a bar in the main area is crazy. I brought my wife and kids last time and they had a game on TV in the bar and the people around the bar were understandably excited and loud but spending time with your family, to me, is more important. Don’t try to compete with the others, make them compete against you.

Staff was rude. I've never been yelled at for not understanding where to go. I ended up not eating there and just went out and watched the band. BTW 2 bottle beers were $19.

Some random rude Karen working the front.

Julio and the Saltines were great though.

Nances is our go to restaurant for our yearly trip to Myrtle Beach in October. Prices are reasonable and the food is amazing!

Best seafood and service in Murrells Inlet! I was there in a busy night and with a party of 8. I was earlier than the rest of my party and was asked if I minded waiting at the bar. Like every restaurant I've been too, this made sense. Although, unlike other restaurants I was treated with impeccable kindness. The bartender, I can't remember his name, he was a bald, I'm sure he is well known in the area because he was amazing. What he lacked in hair, he more than made up for in his kindness and delicious drinks. The rest of my party arrived and we were taken care of by a great waitress named Nave. She made sure we had everything we needed. But it wasn't only her. The entire staff was amazing! Four other members of the staff came by to see how we were doing, I'm bad with names but I believe they were Laney, Rachael, Corinn and Dee? If I'm wrong I apologize, my difficult family is a handful, but every last one of you were great. The food was delicious, we had both fried and grilled food and local oysters. As for the oysters, they not only were the best we had ever had, they were brought out by the cook himself! I believe his name was Jorge? Truly an amazing experience!!! As we walked out the manager made sure we had a wonderful experience and two other employees opened the door for us and my elderly Grandmother. Again, I'm bad with names, but I believe it was Coltrane and Montana? 5 stars aren't enough.

Great view. Service was a bit slow and place was empty. Food was okay but can you offer blackened everything is just fried and your appetizer menu needs a bit more.

Food was very good. The entertainment they had that night was awesome. He was a solo singer and sang all the songs I love. I love the decor in the restaurant and the outside views of the marsh. Definitely will be back!!

I hate to leave a bad review, but im so sad this is what nances has turned into.

If you’re coming here because you’ve ate here in the past- do not go.

If you’ve never ate here and don’t know what to expect, go for it!

The food is nowhere near what it used to be, the fish had no taste, gritty hush puppies, ect.

The environment is totally different, they pulled a Cracker Barrel by trying to make a low country favorite modern, and it was so much more loved the way it was.

I’ve went here for over 20 years, and I’ll never go back again- but the prices were low, the view is gorgeous, and they have a very cute outdoor area! I just would not suggest for the food at all.

I’m so sorry to leave a bad review for Nances- but they have made a cute cozy low country flavorful food restaurant into a flavorless modern cheap seafood place.

Asked to be seated outside, hostess said it was too much of a hassle. Food was decent.
