Over charged, paid for someone else's bill.I called regarding this.Manager wouldn't do anything, especially him knowing the bartenders were drinking,we took pictures to show the manager,he chuckled.did not take anything serious.we were taken advantage of because we are out of town.we didn't get a itemized bill,we did request,we got ignored.We just paid and left,we're so frustrated.

This is a fabulous place in the summer to sit outside, eat, drink, and feel the ocean breeze and look out over the ocean. Still a good place for food in the winter. Staff is friendly and food is good. Beware of the private paid parking lot next to the restaurant, big fines if you don't pre pay.

Beautiful scenery. Service was fast and friendly. Food and drinks came at a timely manner. Server checked on us several times. Great experience. We will be back.

Enjoyed the dog friendly patio with our family of six. Food and drinks were good. The server was amazing and made our littlest family member (4 yo) feel special. Great spot to visit in MB.

This place has a fun tiki vibe. I love the black and white bamboo chairs and stools. I just don’t know why they kept a bunch of random mix match old chairs. Also if you have a bunch of decor on the ceiling and walls in a restaurant they need to be dusted, otherwise chunks of dust are falling on the table/food. The food was good and service was ok.

Fried calamari is very good with a nice flavor with onion and peppers, fish and chips awesome flavorful July. All food is very good. Give it a try

Be aware the Tiki place has its own parking lot and charges you to park - $3 a hour. It’s on the north side of the building.

There a clown who sits out in their parking lot telling people there is no free parking in the downtown area. Anywhere in downtown he says. It’s a lie.

What the clown won’t tell you is next to the restaurant/bar private parking lot there is a Myrtle Beach public beach access parking lot that is free from Nov 1 thru March in Myrtle Beach during the off season or winter months, as are all metered spaces in that area.

So essentially, this clown representing Tiki lies to possible patrons to get you to pay and use their lot, when right next to it you can park for free. That’s why he sits in a white car on their parking lot, not the city’s lot.

So this is a reflection of the restaurant/bar, having their employees lie to possible patrons to get more money? Is this what the Tiki restaurant management/owner tells this clown to do? Just to make a few more bucks?

Shame on you Tiki and that clown sitting in their parking lot in that white chair all day in November, telling lies about parking.

I had a fantastic experience at 8th Ave Tiki Bar & Grill! The atmosphere was lively, with a great beachy vibe that made it the perfect spot to unwind. Food, service, bartenders were great. The fact that the GM demands a 18% gratuity on every check if a party of 1 or a 100 is pretty damn pathetic from a business confidence standpoint. Not good and I would take my business elsewhere! If I decide to tip someone 10% or 50% is up to me, not a mandate! Stay away!
